Price depends on type of work. Mine was complete cushioning but I choosed plain cloth fabric. You have velvet and art leather as choices too. There are many designs and colors and you can choose depending on your choice. Costed 13500 as it is an elantra. My relative's tata aria costed 70000 as he converted the centre row to captain seats and extra cushioning for all seats with fabric material.

Yes.You need to take prior appointment. They ask for date and vehicle number and they give you the time. Usually they take a day or two depends on work type. Sometimes if you take appointment on friday , you mostly get delivered on that day itself. Other days they usually deliver on the next day only.

Usually the velvet material used by them feels so good to touch . My friend had an amby and it had koyas bucket seats with velvet fabric. I travelled sometimes in it and it was very comfortable during the journeys. Also you dont get the sweat on the back like in the art leather material.I didnt choose the velvet fabric thinking that it might look like an old model.

They add additional cushion to the seats to provide more comfort on the thigh and the lumbar area.

Since ertiga is a 7 seater. Might expect around 20000?

I really want to get the third row seat modified to double fold so that space in the second row can be maximum. Please suggest where & who can do this in Bangalore. Should be a professional with no compromise on quality and at a reasonable price.

Is there a polarized film which can be stuck to the glass itself? That would be more convenient than glasses.

Ertiga Owners,

What FE do you get in bumper to bumper city traffic? Also, how about on highway with speed maintained around 80-110Kmh?
Today I did a test drive on NICE road(Bangalore) and the FE shown in the display was varying between 8 to 30Kml.
I also did a test drive of XUV500 in the same route and the FE shown was around 13-15KMl consistently. So, not sure whether the FE shown in Ertiga is correct. The test drive vehicle was @48000Kms

Kochi-Chennai-Kochi, 1st Jan 2014: 24.8 till Mannuthy, Trichur (75kms) while driving on 70-80kmph and some 350 kg load.

Overall mileage of 16.5 kmpl IIRC for the whole trip with Chennai city driving and some max speed driving.

Kochi-Bangalore-Kochi, Dec last week: Overall mileage of 17.6 generally with speeds 100-120 kmph. Two adults and ~100 kg load.

My sister gets 12.5 kmpl in Kochi city. She commutes between Kaloor stadium and High court and that place is always crowded due to Metro construction.

All figures are with 100% ac.

I have an Jan 2013 Ertiga ZDI (Diesel) which has clocked 12500 kms.

In Bangalore city traffic, I invariably get 14 Kms with AC.

On highways (NH with toll) I get 18-20 kms if I maintain speed between 80-100 kmph. Above 100 kmph (mostly 110 kmph), I get 16-18 kms. All travel with AC on.

Hope this helps.

About my 17 dec post regarding failure of power steering. The problem re occured yesterday. On switching off the vehicle and restarting, the steering was again ok and responsive. I have lodged a complaint with maruti on the helpline number 1800 102 1800. The response has been excellent ie within 30 min a rep from Maruti Service Zone called up, and requested to bring the vehicle in for check up and problem resolution.
Can our experienced team mates suggest what i can ask them to check, because it is possible that the problem may not manifest in front of them. Dose the OBD II record these events? Regards.

The PS module can be diagnosed using the SDT. However I doubt the module stores error codes like the ECM. It can only report a continuous fault, like a faulty sensor, etc. Thats what is specified in the service manual of the ertiga. It can give errors related to a faulty VSS, Engine speed signal, Input from the steering sensor, problems related to the motor drive circuit. There was nothing mentioned with respect to storage of error codes and clearing them like the ECM

The vehicle was checked using the SDT and it showed no failure record, however the history showed code C113 - torque master and secondary sensor imbalance. The workshop could not do any thing as both torque sensors are showing all OK now. The workshop is now requesting the company/ factory specialist for direction. Meanwhile they have returned the vehicle and have said will revert earliest on any information from factory!!

Thats about 40k cash discount with 2 years extended warranty thrown in for free. Let me know if any of you want to book a Maruti in Chennai and I can point you to my Sales Advisor who was very prompt and kept his word.
Hey Congratulations keshav1426 and welcome to the club! Your LUV looks amazing, infact it doesnt look like the Firebrick Red thats on offer. This looks more like the Radiant Red shade that was available in indonesia from the beginning but never in India.

Please correct me if yours isnt radiant Red?? Are they offering it now,?? As it has always been
available on all the Swift and Dzire models!

Hi Parassoni

It is indeed the Firebrick red The colour seems a little different because of the lighting. Another thing is that Suzuki catalogues don't match the exact colour in real life especially the red and blue. The red looks pinkish and the blue seems darker than it actually is. For me, I prefer this colour rather than what is shown in the catalogue or on their website.

Oh Ok, cool! their colours in real life dont match the catalogues, but FireBrick Red is a very dynamic colour(infact most dynamic of all Ertiga shades). Try looking at it or capturing it on camera with varied light settings and you'll see the spectrum of effects!

My personal favorite for this is in Full bright spring sunlight! Looks amazing and truly 'Firebrick' red!

All the Best and Happy Travels !!!
