Thanks.
Thanks for the details.

Is this limited to the Vdi / Vxi version only? Or available with Zdi / Zxi too?

I couldn't make out the steering wheel color from the picture? Still beige I guess

Maruti should have atleast provided the option of split seats in the third low. When customers will compare the mobilio with the ertiga, this is gonna be a big negative point for maruti!

As of now this model is limited to the VXI and VDI only. Steering wheel shall be Beige as far as I think because the interiors will be 2-tone Black and Beige.

Thanks.

Thanks. AFAIK the Vxi trim does not have ABS and the option pack has also been discontinued as per my last interaction with an SA about 6 to 8 months ago.

So this means, people wanting to opt for this 'special' edition have to buy ONLY the Vxi trim instead of ZXi and lose out on the 'essential' safety features of airbags and ABS!

Well done Maruti-Suzuki

As per the Xerox of the official dealership mail, there are no additional safety features being provided in the VXI or VDI variant as Limited Edition. Apart from the listed additions rest all the features remain unchanged. My Ertiga Zxi has 2 Airbags and yes you are right in this Limited Edition there is no big difference as such from the regular VXI or VDI Ertiga.

Thanks.

The special edition has a black steering wheel as seen from the image on the Overdrive website:

Wish they can provide the same in the higher trim.

Frankly speaking this is a good model and Maruti should make it as a regular one. Black beige combo of interiors looks much better. Black steering wheel also looks better & will not get dirty. Alloy wheels i really liked & hope they will give same for Z variants. I am eagerly waiting for facelift of Ertiga, here is my wishlist:

Black beige interiors just like this. Looks much better.
Alloy wheels like this will be good.
Somehow get some more space inside.
Some more boot space, may be 250 Lits or more.
Few exterior changes to make it more attractive.

I will be one to buy one for myself immediately with all new Ertiga.

Mine is Ertiga ZXi with 16000 Km. The car is 1 year old, purchased in July 2013.
I am getting 13 in Pune city with 80% AC.
On highway LUV giving me 16-17 KMPL with AC.

@ leoshashi @ Kalinga - Is the mileage calculated by tank to tank method or MID display. I just got a new ZXi and have already done 2 runs between Chennai & Bangalore. The MID displayed around 17 KMPL avg but tank to tank method calculation came ONLY to 13 KMPL. Can there be a 4 KMPL difference?

During the 2 full tank that you had, did you reset the Average FE reading?

The reset action after every refill gives you values pertaining to 'tha't full tank only and NOT a carry forward.

How many litres do you fill during refill ?
You will get more accurate calculation when you refill after the fuel is less than 1/4th left

I have observed a difference of 0.5 to 2 between mid and manual calculation

The Turbo lag is the sheer characteristic of Multijet engines but when you drive various flavors of this VGT in different avatars, you know which one fares well among these.

As mentioned in the Mobilio thread, it is clear that many USPs from this Honda car like split seats, bigger engine and perhaps better FE would be the major reasons for people shifting to Mobilio.
Perfectly pointed out PS.

If one reads other posts here, one will see that most saying 'Mobilio will take Ertigas limelight' are either haven't owned an Ertiga or drivern one,or just making a swiping remark to increase their post count.

Ertiga's design platform is similar to that of Swift and the Dzire just like we use to have an elongated station wagon from Skoda earlier based on Octavia's design. However, compared to Mobilio on the basis of exterior design I find Ertiga stale and boxed up so no amount of Limited Editions will make any difference. I as an owner put forward my views. I have booked an Ertiga Zxi and very well understand that even at the time of it's launch in April 2012 Maruti did not make any attempt of re-designing it and project it as different from Dzire and Swift. Mobilio however is far refreshing in terms of appeal to eyes.

Have a look:
