LOL True ..... karma and the Gods of TASS.
That button is for the rear defogger. It passes current through small wires embedded in rear windshield which causes windshield to heat up and fog to dissipate. It also activates a heater inside the ORVMs which causes ORVMs to clear.

The old safari had heated ORVMs. I doubt Tata would remove this feature in the Storme!

Planning to take delivery of the truck tomorrow. Went across to the dealership to sign all the papers and complete their customory demo so that I can just walk in and drive out tomorrow. Below average experience with the demo guy knowing far less than what I already knew. Best part was when he kept pressing the ORVM adjusting button in the central position trying to show me how the entire mirror assembly can be folded. And the mirror would just not budge. He was a bit tensed. I told him maybe the Lx does not have this feature ! He was immediately relieved .

By the way, during run in, whats the max rpm/speed one needs to drive under?

Condor : here are the Wuerth rubber strips that i was referring to earlier

Just stick to normal driving, but if you are on the highway, keep varying the speed every few minutes. Just remember to not exceed 110 kmph. The speed / rpm is given in the owner's manual, and my experience is that it more than allows for normal driving.

Condor
I cant find anything online. I had just visited their accessory shop and the Wuerth guy showed this. It looked far better than the usual black bumper strips. Costs Rs999 for a set of 10 covering bumper corners, mirrors and doors. Looks worth (Wuerth!) the money but time will tell

Increased Bass to +7. Then Sub-woofer to +12. Like it. Getting mild vibrations with the beat, which I suppose is the max this system and speakers can produce.
when you do the settings make sure u also have good quality sound files , I have seen many of my friends using low compression quality sound files mp3 and then blaming the sound set up.

and the vibrations can be due to other items in ur vehicle too, need not be always because of the speakers .

Good news for me too!

Blue light on ac is normal mode, green is economy mode. Choose as per the weather.

This is the problem with tata. They don't market or publicize about the product and features. One such feature is lane change indicator. Indicator blinks 4-5 times if the stalk is touched to one side, this feature was publicized by for during figo launch. Tata has it but no mention. Heated orvm and rear defogger standard but no promotion.
Another useful feature is first or second gear crawl without throttle input! It doesn't matter even if you go up a ramp, the car keeps going on its own. I knew about it, but when I demonstrated it to my brother in law who was sweating going up a narrow, steep and twisting ramp in a mall, he came out impressed and all praises about the car as he only had to worry about steering the car!

@ Narayan - best if luck and welcome to the club mate! Wishing you a smooth ride and many happy miles.

I too did not know about it. Can you please explain?

By touch on one side you mean pput on the indicator right? That will cancel itself out only when you change direction, and in a lane change the direction change is not enough so per my experience the indicator remains on and has to be physically put back off.

@ebonho, no - not put on the indicator.
If you push the indicator stick a little, - till just before it switches on, it will flash 3 times and stop.

In this mode, you won't hear the 'click' you normally hear when using the indicator for a turn.

Exactly as condor said. Just turn the indicator stalk to the side you want to indicate, but not completely, stop just before it clicks in that location. The stalk will return to the center default location but the indicator blinks for 3 times indicating a lane change.

Yep. The same circuitry from the ARIA in the Storme.

Well, I guess TATA keeps commonality of wiring and harnesses and since the storme shares them with the ARIA, the same features carry over, incl headlights, fogs, rear fogs, light switch, control stalks, interior lighting and the ACs.
