Well your tyre is already black. Only the alloy wheel part you need to visualize. You can get this in multiple colours also. I chose black. Was thinking of grey but the shop guy said your tyre is black.

Default About the man who designed Ford EcoSport

Excerpts from Rediff.com

Quote:
A lot of research goes into the final look of a car, with inputs taken even midway through the design process. There isnít one design template and each car is in its own way an individual product.

But, as Ehab Kaoud, chief designer, Ford North America, tells us, there is often a single paradigm that marks the vehicles of any one company.
Love it or hate it, but its urban SUV design is a first of its kind.

Planning to buy an Ecosport Automatic. I visited Riddhi Ford as its closest to where I live. Checked out Ecosport Automatic in flesh as it was display vehicle, liked it asked for test drive. They told me that they haven't received Automatic as test vehicle. I said ok and few days later, today, I called up Ford call center on why can't they provide a test vehicle for variant for which a customer is going to put in a million rupee. Ford Rep says "we have given automatic as test drive vehicle to all dealers". I said connect me to one. They gave me dealer's number but when I called dealers they referred all of them refused that they don't have automatic for test drive.

These dealers were Harpreet ford and Noida Ford. Well, called up Ford again, they have promised to arrange for test drive of automatic vehicle from any dealer in NCR. Let's see if anyone calls back to fulfill my request. Scenario 1. Either Ford has not provided automatic for test drive as they wanted to push sales of ecoboost powered ecosport. Scenario 2. Dealers were provided with automatic, which were sold off during booking freeze period.

All dealers have quoted 5-6 months for automatic. Harpreet Ford has told me 4-5 months for petrol Trend. Interestingly, quoting Ford reps " waiting time is depends on dealer to dealer, so please check with dealer on wait time." wow sounds something fishy

Last rant, Riddhi Ford - please avoid. They want to sell Ecosport with IRVM camera, body care package at minimum. I told em I will book this car but I dont' want these additional stuff - sales guy clearly refused not possible, I will have to buy this car with all these things mentioned i.e. accessory worth ~35K. In this regards, I found Harpreet Ford better at least they are ok If I don't want these bells and whistles.

Alternatively, I might buy Ertiga or wait for Mobilio as an existing Honda city owner. I am pretty happy with car, dealers and company. Just that ecosport tugs heart whereas Ertiga/mobilio ( mini MPV) checks all points of practicality. I know its not apples to apples to compare both.

I hope the 24 hour shifts in Chennai Plant yield some good news. Just got my eyes on this:

I certainly hope so. I went and enquired at a showroom yesterday and was told six to eight months waiting period for all variants. If it were one month waiting I would book immediately.

Reading closely ' "We hope to catch up with the demand for Ecosport next year,Ē Mr Harris added.' Not very encouraging in the short term.

Man, what is this Ford Management up to? Cutting incentives of people manufacturing a Global Product, being supplied to such huge number of countries, working in the day & night shifts. Big big setback for Ford India if this news is true. No workers = No production = No Sales = Zero Profits = Shutters down !

True, the explanation given by the management seems to be the best way to add fuel to the fire. Expect waiting periods to be extended by another 6 months as Ford will try and maximize production for export markets and the resulting profitability and tax breaks.

Has anybody had luck with creating playlist in USB and playing them in SYNC. If yes, please give some info on the folder structure and the playlist format.

I've tried these things so far:
1. Copied all the music to the USB, no sub-folders, just copied them to the root
2. Created multiple playlists (M3U extension) and copied them to the USB root
3. As iTunes includes local mp3 path in the playlist (ex: /Users/Apple/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music/Linkin Park/Live in Texas/03 Papercut.mp3), changed the paths so that it points to the root of the USB. Tried both "03 Papercut.mp3" and "../03 Papercut.mp3" as reference to the file, but no luck.

This is how my playlist looks like if opened in text editor:
Quote:
#EXTM3U
..\13 ABC (Glee Cast Version).mp3
..\01 Amen.mp3
..\11 Amusement Park ( Prod by Chris Styles ).mp3
..\14 Animal.mp3
..\09 Animal (Billboard Remix).mp3
I've removed #EXTINF tags that repeats before each file path.

If I try to play the playlist with the above format, I get playlist empty message in SYNC.

If anyone has a working playlist, can you please post the below things for me?

1. Your USB folder structure
2. Playlist format (M3U/WPL/PLS)
3. Playlist contents (Using text editor, copy the first few lines as a sample)

Thanks

Well, that was an eye opener . I guess the huge investments in Gujarat plant and the slow pay back rate is hitting them with net loss every year, as the profits are not comparable to the investments at the moment. Expect some profits after the new plant goes in to its break-in.

Opening the trunk by remote control (For non-Keyless entry models)

Ford EcoSport : Official Review-ecosport-1.jpg

To open the trunk of the new EcoSport just push the black button (indicated by the red arrow in the photo above) after unlocking the car with the remote control. It was an excellent idea of Ford engineers who developed a system of simple, practical and very discreet opening.

On Titanium there is also the convenience to unlock and open the trunk by remote control, without having to push the black button on the handle of the trunk. In addition to the remote locking and unlocking the car buttons there is a third button pressed twice unlocks and opens the lid of the trunk.

Remote Contole version of FreeStyle

On the remote control of my EcoSport FreeStyle there until the space for the third button, but I've tried pressing twice and nothing happened. Unfortunately the third button from the switchblade key EcoSport FreeStyle 2013 has no utility. Here you'll think, but the unlock button unlocks the car has the trunk. Correct! But the difference is that the third button it unlocks and opens the trunk. You need not press the black button on the door handle. Just pull the handle to open the trunk because it will already be unlocked with the door slightly open!

Remote version of FreeStyle

But today, visit the EcoSport Club Forum I saw a great tip Gastaldi53 member, so as I was not satisfied with the lack of a button on the remote to open the trunk line in 2013 EcoSport. Gastaldi53 The curiosity resolved open the remote control, and to his surprise he saw that the inner plate of the remote there is a third button to open the trunk, but it is not triggered because the blanket does not have control pin star-shaped precisely to this button is not triggered only took then place a plastic little piece in the empty space so that when the button is pressed twice to switch the control board is connected to trigger the unlocking of the trunk. The trunk opens only if you first push the button that unlocks the doors, and then give two quick clicks on the third button. Excellent hint Forum EcoSport Club tested and approved! Below I'll go through the procedures for opening the remote control and installation the pin on the third button. Just try to do the procedure if you feel secure as you may damage the remote control. If you do not feel safe, ask a person who works with remotes to do the procedure for you. The blog is not responsible for any damage to the remote control due to inadequate procedure for opening the control.

Ford EcoSport : Official Review-ecosport-5.jpg

Hold both ends of the remote as pictured above and pull at the same time to the right and left halves tempted away. As they are only engaged and there is no screw, the two sides will come off with relative ease.

Ford EcoSport : Official Review-ecosport-6.jpg

After the two parts become loose, take the part that has the Ford logo and insert a screwdriver into the rectangular hole indicated by the red arrow in the photo above. Turn the screwdriver until it away the two halves of the remote control.

Then you will disassemble the remote control as the picture above. Note that the mainboard has three switches: the first unlocks the car, the second (middle) lock the car and the third (the lower one) unlocks and opens the trunk. See you on the other half of the control which is a rubber blanket there are 3 round holes corresponding to the drive control buttons. Ensure that the hole does not have a low number in a star inside it and it is precisely why the third button does not work.

Ford EcoSport : Official Review-ecosport-8.jpg

Cut a piece of plastic and any place inside the button corresponding to the third hole, close the remote control carefully and ready! Following a tip from a reader of the blog I put a slice of a pencil eraser (fits perfectly, as pictured above), so the rubber presses the switch more accurately when I trigger the remote button. Third button from will now function normally to open the trunk as follows: click on the "open lock" button to unlock the car and then double-click the third button now serves to open the trunk as the demo video below:

Alert!
Before opening the trunk by remote control make sure that the car is at a local level because if a car is parked on a ramp unlike other vehicles the door fully open and can hit another vehicle that is ago for example.

Hope it works.....
