Congratulations and wish you a safe drive. Is it the petrol or the diesel?

Cyborg Sir has answered your query of speed sensitive locks.

Regarding auto folding of mirrors on engaging the central locking, the feature isn't available from the manufacturer, but you can get a switch installed for this mechanism (talk to the accessories guy in the ASS, they will give leads to installers outside the ASS) without cutting any of the factory wiring, thereby protecting the warranty. I think it costs around 2-3k.

Installed drl with turn indicators and auto mirror folding relay in the ignis. The drl looks OEM and pretty cool. Though the brightness could be a bit brighter. The first photo show the turn indicator in action.

Hi,

The installation looks really cool. Was this installed without cutting any wires? Also where did you find above parts?

I am also thinking of installing front parking sensors. Is it possible?

Nothing was cut. All connection was made with taps. The DRL assembly was sourced from someone in Gurgaon. The DRL cost 3000 and the auto folding relay 2000. Installation was around 900.

They will remove the stock fog lamp cover and fix the fog lamp cover with the DRL in its place.

The DRL photo

Its confirmed now, NEXA blue replaces the Urban Blue shade on Ignis and Baleno. Baleno RS probably still continues with Urban Blue(as its not updated on their website)

Thanks for the pics Shashi!

From the pics, the Ray blue and the Nexa blue look pretty much the same

Any reason as to why Maruti has discontinued Premium Urban Blue?

Anyways, since I have the Urban blue Baleno, I will soon be part of this elusive shade

Hi Ignis owners. I have a few questions regarding this car before considering to buy. (Answers are certainly neither in the specification nor handy with Sales person)

1. I am thinking of buying Delta variant but since it does not have driver seat height adjustment, will it be suitable for a 5'4" tall person? It is for my wife and I do not want her to struggle due to lower seat position. Compared to Santro, is this position lower or higher? I asked this to Nexa Sales person since they had only Alpha models in showroom but he was clueless as expected .

2. Front seat armrest for driver. Is this a standard accessory for Ignis and if yes, please let me know the pricing as well. Armrest is of great use on longer travels. I do not want to buy the "universal armrest" from amazon or somewhere and screw into the car. That will spoil the whole thing.

3. Is there any tyre upgrade size recommended for Ignis? Since the rear tyres are a bit extended from the side of the body, really not sure if there is any upgrade size.

Your DRLs look way cooler than Suzuki's 'cartoon eye' DRLs on the Ignis! Usually after market DRLs are brash and over the top and the colour tone of the light is rarely white. Yours is an exception: subtle and classy, your DRLs enhance Ignis' face like its nobody's business. It's money well spent I tell ya!

Hi Rajiv,

1. I feel due to her height she may feel uncomfortable without the seat height adjustment in the Alpha. No idea about the comparison between the Santro and Ignis seat height. I would suggest you find another showroom and physically check in a Delta variant before going any further.

2. Not sure, but, I don't think it's available with Nexa as an accessory. I use the Ignis in the city and have not felt the need for an armrest.

3. I have not felt the need to upgrade the tyre size. Do ensure the company recommended pressure of 36 front and 32 rear is maintained.

Feel free to ask anything further, will be glad to help out.

Cheers

1. Since you are in Bangalore, I suggest you call few other dealers and check whether they have the AMT zeta variant of the demo car as AMT was limited to Delta and zeta earlier and seat height adjustment was exclusive to the Alphas. You may chance upon one and take madam for an extensive test to check her comfort.

2. I think it is available in the Nexa list ONLY.

I bought mine from Amazon for 800 bucks. It's Kingsway make and you can read my review of the same.

3. The correct upsize IMHO for an average user would be 185/65 R15 (refer valhallens.282s baymax review (BayMax - Silky Silver Maruti Ignis Alpha 1.2L VVT), though I think Ignis can take upto 205/55 R15 without scrapping the tyre walls. I have upsized to 195/60 R15 a few days back and am yet to cover a sizeable distance to form opinion on it, initial impressions are fantastic though. Thanks to bhpian Nikhil Sir, I opted for Continental MC5s.

It should either be:
  1. Behind the glove box or;

  2. Near the accelerator pedal mounted above the right wheel arch.

IMO, it should be mentioned in the owners manual.

EDIT: it is Behind the glove box
