| Fortuner is manufactured in Bangalore , India . However the import content is high . Im sure more work on localization of parts can help in reducing the prices & passing the same to customers |

High speed stability of the Fortuner is good. Its an SUV that you can't drive slow on the highways. After you get used to the brakes, that is ![]() | |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | I test drove the Fortuner last week and really liked it. The best part is the engine. What a gutsy engine. Even in third gear she pulls effortlessly. Engaging the H and L locked modes is very easy and offroad the car seems to have decent articulation. Basically I like the overall package. I haven't gone through the car with a fine tooth comb but am happy with the overall experience. Its a desirable car to have. I want a white one ![]() |

| Yep, I do know what pitch refers to. What I'm wondering is - how a car with a "firm suspension/ride" can also end up pitching? Last edited by Crazy_Eddy : 22nd October 2009 at 21:16. |

| Senior - BHPian | Monday evening - parked in the lot next to Mantralaya (Mumbai) was my dream - yes the Fortuner. The colour grey - looked great, the stance- aggressive, the looks- very purposeful, the intercooler scoop - almost growling etc etc. And then my eyes travelled upwards to the roof and there it was, a wretched looking luggage carrier of the worst possible design bolted crudely on it and then suddenly the stars in me eyes turned into dust particles, irritating it and making it water ! In that lachrymose state I drove past it. Guess the guy was a politico who didn't know/couldn't make out the difference between the Innova and the Fortuner and so...! Some guys can make you cry, weep & pound the pavement with your fists eh ?!! Last edited by Guderian : 28th October 2009 at 09:37. |
