Yes Pre Production vehicles are being used both as demo vehicle and as display vehicles. One Dealer told me that the display vehicle was one that had been used extensively by a tata senior and since they had no other display vehicles they have had it displayed. (Of course it was shinning new but missed some monograms that casued me to raise the query.) - This was confirmed when I saw kms on the odo in 1000 + kms.

Some feel the display for the music system is small - the One in the pride variant is almost double the size of the display in the prestige and pleasure variants, and the pride display which doubles up as the sat nav and reverse screen as well is class leading to say the least.

The Aria also has a lot of nice engineering that is not visible upfront and needs to be felt over the longer term.

Floor mats were available with Wasan Chembur - bought mine for Rs. 987 - set of 5 covers only first two rows.

Check again. - Had most likely seen your vehicle while doing PDI at their bhiwandi warehouse. They had 2 in night shade back and 2 in Sardinia Red - all Pride.

I too did not get the sat nav cd - odd thing is that bangalore guys seem to be getting it.

Can you use maps from other providers like MapMyIndia?

I belive not - have not checked - but this being Nav Tel (nokia) customized hardware from delphi, it may not be possible to use other format maps - at least in a simple manner.

A bit off topic, but just saw the Tata Aria ad on TV today- beautiful!!!! and the Aria in black, on a white backdrop looked simply stunning!

TML ad agencies really come up wtih some amazing themes......

^+1. Totally agree with you. The ad has come out very nice.

It conveys the message that they want to deliver, precise and to the point!

Default Re: Tata Aria : Test Drive & Review

Spent some time with the Aria (Black) which was displayed at Forum Value Mall last week.

overall yes the fit and finish levels are streets above what one has seen in the past from TML

But there were still some visible gaps in the interiors panelling work and external body panel gaps too are quite immense.

All the seats are very comfy and the under-thigh support issues too seem to have been sorted out. good headroom etc.
steering wheel per se I found to be a tad small-ish.

The Aria does look very nice indeed and of course, the bells and whistles are numerous.

But I still would hesitate to buy it at this kind of price.

If I were in the market for such a vehicle I would much rather go for a top end Innova and spend the rest of the money (the difference between the cost of the top end Aria and Innova) on DC design and jazz up the Innova incredibly.

Of course I would lack the 4x4 but I guess that can be lived with given the fact that after all the Aria or the Innova are MUV's and not SUV's.
