| All Blues are easy to maintain in the sense that they do not fade in the Sun. Red and Maroon are the worst colour and no matter how well you maintain it by regular polishing they tend to fade rapidly. Most well Maintained Dark colours invite deep gashes from vandals. It gives them some sort of saddistic pleasure to see these cars ruined. Suggest one refrains from buying the dark ones unless they are sure that their cities are free from these attacks. So long.... |

| BHPian | I use the Formula1 Carnauba Paste Wax for my Black Baleno...it brings superb shine after the wax is applied....but however wen i wash the car afterwards, even after drying out the left over water with cloth,i can see some white scars caused by water....are these caused by hard water or due to improper way of waxing??how can i remove those scars or marks?? my car being black, these scars are very visible..... yeah the marks do go off if i scrub the surface carefully with a cloth...but still this isn an easy job.... |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Just got this from the 3M representative at the HM garage. For some reason the rates are comparatively lower than the other places. 3M Authorised Distributor & Service Provider Spot Free solutions #12, 8th cross, Indiranagar, 1st Stage, Bangalore 560038 Ph. 30964922, 51255281. For older cars i.e. more than 1year they recommend Surface Refinement. This involves the following steps 1. Complete External wash 2. buffing/scratch removal 3. claying to give a smooth finish and fill in 4. Polish using 3M machine polish 5. Miracle glaze finish to get wet look and shine. For the lancer the entire process costs Rs.2600 of done at HM.

| Senior - BHPian | if the scratches are light then buffing and polishing will help them fade and if they are darker ones then you have to buy a spray paint. Which color is your car?
