Excellent paint job! Excellent body work! Typical ripples on the door are not to be seen.

Congrat Santosh! This one is going to come out as a real stunner!

That should be addressed to the Master Tinker at MS, also called Santosh.

The Deep gloss paint looks delicious even now. One wonders how glossy the end job is going to be.

If you can wait for a few more days (less than a month), then you can check out the All New Indica (X1?) with Fiat Engine

Arif

How're you doing? Are you still with RF or have you opened your outlet?

My experience with Fiat engines is such that I'd much rather not have a vehicle with one, Tata or otherwise.

Will all the tyrewallahs here suggest footwear? NOTE: I'm not planning to fit alloys as I'd prefer the original look. The only option may be Conti steel rims.

That's it. You may have to change the bolt positions to accommodate Gypsy rim. Unless they've done that already.

This car is meant for slow, lazy drives - therefore it needs ICE !!!!

Requirements:

1. SQ setup.

2. Unobtrusive speakers - should be unseen as far as possible.

A possible candidate for HU duty, if I can get hold of one, is:

Name: panasonic-CQ-TX5500D.jpg
Views: 422
Size: 60.9 KB

But it is also bloody expensive. Costs as much as the original car did.

Steeroid, Wouldn't the Conti steel rims be a little small for the Landmaster's wheel well? The Landie have 15" wheels where as the Conti wheels are only 13". If going for Conti wheels then a very high profile tyre would be required to fill those arches.

Lovely colour!

If you put that HU in this machine it would be Killer!! I'm getting inspired by this thread

Steer, instead of the conti rims, go for gypsy ones. They are a better match for this car.

What would be your reason to buy this HU steer? If it is only the looks, I don't think it is worth the kind of money it costs. This is a nice sounding HU and if you put this, I would expect a pretty serious ICE system to follow. Is that the direction you want to take with this car?

If you just want 4 speakers and a nice HU to give you simple clean music, then don't waste your money on this. Just get a simple decent JVC, pioneer, blaupunkt etc HU.

Sameer Singh

If I put that HU in there (provided I can find it - it doesnt seem to be available anywhere on the web) you can be assured that it WILL have a pretty serious setup to back it.

Except that the speakers etc wont be visible - it will be ICE to listen to, not ICE to show off.

I think it will look killer in the car, plus I do want a good clean setup (not 4 speaker + a Pioneer). I may be an ICE Idiot, but I think I do understand the difference between a Pioneer + 4 Speakers and this one.

Any other retro suggestions are also welcome - the setup I have in mind is quite in line with the Panasonic unit I have posted a pic of. I dont need a valve-amp, but the overall looks should be similar, with actual meters, chunky dials and switches.

I would like to go with Sam Bhai opinion. I think the HU is far more than you require. If you are considering only the looks then don't spend on it. As if you want to extract its full potential your ICE budget will be quite a hefty one.

Like you mentioned that you need a stealth install. What all equipement you plan to install. For me a car audio setup must consist of the follow this will be considered to the bare minimum for me.

1) HU
2) Front components
3) Subwoofer
4) 4-ch amp

This is the minimuim I will recommend to anyone. So what is your catch.
