If anyone wants to see "The world's fastest Indian" a good film about Bert Munro and his Indian record breaker, and you don't mind getting into torrent downloads, which by the way I cannot condone.... It is available there

Regards to all bikers

Hi highwayblaze
All the images were large, but all the images on the site seem to have become small, I don't know why. They can be reposted in the new format if the mods don't mind.

Julian & others,

Dont worry, the images should be visible again soon.

At the moment, to view the bigger image, removed the ".th" from the URL.

I always heard rumours of a Brough Superior in India for years, never had concrete proof. Thank you! Where is this bike today?

I also keep hearing of a Vincent Black Shadow thats still around. Anybody know of it?

I'm afraid the Brough went to Germany in the early 90s in a tourist bus.
In 1991 I went to buy a Vincent Rapide B that was in Bareilly UP, it was very rusty, the very expensive cylinder heads looked like scrap, the dealer Karim wanted 1 Lakh then. It really looked in bad shape.

In sharing these splendid pictures you enrich us all. Thanks a ton. I can just imagine the stories you have to tell!!! Please do start relating all your experiences. It would be so much fun to read about them all.

I think you might just as well publish a book on your experiences with the magnificent cars and bikes you've been associated with. Its obvious you are a veritable treasure trove!!

Very interesting!!! I have also seen a website announcing the launch in 2008 of the new Indian Chief. It looks stunning. Is it the same gentleman who is making that too? If not who owns the brand "Indian"? Can two different people make a bike with the same name legally?

He is the registered trademark holder of the name Indian and the feathered head motif in the UK since the 90s. I think there were some disputes though.
I dislike all these modern monstrosities. Like Harleys, these days their biggest customers are greying men in their 50s in blue jeans trying to stay young
Compared to European bikes I find US bikes became rather gross and were only suited to travelling in a straight line for a long time, the early ones are nice though.
