I had sent my membership form on 2nd of April, 2008 They accpcted the form and gave me receipt of Rs. 300/- (Membership Fees) Now last week they called me up and said that FIAT'S are not eligiable!!!

Gogi's special would be eligible since its an import. Dunno how the others managed to get in!

She is parked in the very same place, covered as usual but the guards will not let you enter or lift the veil unless they have prior instructions. Also it is hidden or should I say dwarfed in between the others parked out there.

Well, but even pre '59 fiats were Italian, such as the Black '55 millecento I have with me (I wonder when the lucky owner is going to reveal himself! )...but they were not imported. So your peshal holds the disctinction of being imported.

Behram, your car would indeed be a very interesting case, VCCCI classifications non withstanding. Your car is very much manufactured in India, then exported, and then re imported. So while it is indeed "imported", (and the RC book acknowledges that), the car being manufactured here makes it a one of a kind indeed.

As for VCCCI entry to your vehicle, I doubt they would allow it, but you
should take it up with them yourself, rather than going by what everyone else says.
