I bought a pair of swing arms that fit into the API 175 Auto rickshaw from Trichy. As he did not have the corresponding dampers that are hard to find, the seller suggested me to make use of the damper used in the Diesel Engines of Vikram / Piaggio / Greaves. Such dampers are used for dampening the engine rocking. I am yet to buy then, can get you a pair of dampers if you are interested. | |

| BHPian | Hi all, Attached here are the pictures of the tyre that served my dad's Vijai till 1995. Later on it was replaced with a good one, and till last week it found a place as the spare wheel. During my recent visit to home I had inflated the scooter and didnt care much for about the pressure for the spare wheel. Ofcourse it was little more than normal. Reached home safe & sound, and had to park the scooter for a little while in the hot sun as I couldnt find enough spare inside the garage. All of a sudden we all heard a huge blast, and only had to see this tyre torn off. So took the scooter and yet another used tyre (lying in the garage) to the tyre shop. He examined the tyre and asked for details on how this happened. Finally he concluded that this should have been the tyre that came with the scooter itself. It was a Falcon make tyre (Falcon Maxitor was the model name) and they no more manufactured this tread type tyres later than 1990. That was a surprise to me and took some last pictures of it before leaving it at the tyre shop. |

| BHPian | Met a garage owner Alex who has Lambretta spares & knows how to work on them. Located near Poomkudy Force showroom, Edapally, Kochi. There were 3 Lambrettas, 2 for major repairs & 1 for sale. It was an original import 1958 model with headlamp on the front apron (not on the handlebar) & asking price was 1L. No photos since the owner was not around & Alex was not too keen on me taking the photo. |

| BHPian | I had noticed that scooter before for that different headlamp position but never thought it commanded this much premium. Being used by an old gentleman in Edapally area itself. Alex (garage guy) also showed the "jack" provided by the manufacturer for changing rear wheels. I have asked him to inform me if any scrapped old Lambies come across. There is another Lambretta 78-79 model owned by an elderly doctor in my hometown. original paint single owner. He said "take it after i die", when i asked if he would sell it. |

| BHPian | I believe the body work was like the 1st one but the headlamp was little subdued like the 2nd one. Will try to take a photo when its parked on the roadside. I usually find it parked in the Edapally market road in the evenings. |
