sorry j.d. but since my fiat and my merc are i the same garage and i insist that they both be handled by the same tin-man, the 220s progress is a little slow, going on but slowly. My first priority is to get the fiat out by the 7th october for the Fiat club meet in Bombay but the rains have been playing havoc for the past three days as a result no paint work could be done as some parts were sanded down for paint on the first coat. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Spotted this 1974-75 220D(W115) in Ahmedabad in fairly good condition

agspins the car does look in good shape. it also looks like it is regularly in use. the colour is also a welcome change from the regular colours that you get to see.

Its a pre 1974 W115 as it has quarter glasses on the front window which were discontinued in 1974

Agspins, the car looks to be in good shape! liked the colour, a refreshing change from the whites! Used to see quite a lot of 123's here in this shade. Btw, speedy, i dont think the car is in regular use as the numberplates are still white on black, not vice versa.

jayd still in smaller towns you would find some cars being used with the white on black plates and not vice versa as they are supposed to be. if the car is of a foriegn make the officials do not stop it as they think the person is influencial and dont want to risk any action on themselves. this car could be used in and around ahemdabad.

Yup! that may be the case too. Even i have seen some cars with the old plates, mostly KA reg though, mercs

yep car was in good condition,i think this one is owned by the same person who owns black heckflosse, the one i earlier posted in some other thread,few weeks back also saw a pristine 1983 300d in bardoli near surat.
car was lookin as if new, couldnt click the pics though.

sorry for not updating this thread guys but was all attention on the Fiat. The fiat still requires some finishing work. Actually the tin work had to be redone in certain places as it was not upto the mark so a lot had to be redone.. didn't post any pics as the car will look as if its in the same stages. Then Full steam ahead.
