yes bhai, the car belonged to the famous actor mr Raj kumar. it was white with black stripes his trademark colours. now the car is in navy blue. it had the amg kit on it with the wheels. i have removed the kit and the wheels i had original wheels and so i put them on and later i got the wheels that are in the picture. the windscreen was of acrelic n i got it changed to the original had to go through four windscreens to get the original as the 230c is not the same as a reguler 123.
the car is not complete as i had to go out of town so when i get back i shall put the new wheels on.

Regrettably I still have to learn to link the photos properly.

Like my Fiat, a small update to show the progress of the Merc.

Heres the rear which has beared the Cut and Paste job done. The rotten metal was replaced here. One can see the welding lines. The corroded and eaten away collor of the rear windscreen frame has been fabricated and is awaiting replacement

The front fender which was quite badly corroded as can be seen in previous posts, was finally fixed and put back.

The fire-wall was corroded inside, from the fender onwards.
The corrosion hidden behind the friewall insulation was also taken care of.

The flooring was not as bad as expected. The front passenger flooring (its a LHD) and the rear left side was what needed immediate care. The bad metal was removed and replaced with new metal as it can be seen. Note the Welding marks on the wheel well

Of course this is just the beginning. The finishing in and around the area is yet to be done and probably has been done by this time. These pics are a few days old. Then the car will go through the "Wurth" treatment..after all its Wurth it na?
More updates re the colour (Prussian Metallic Blue or Non Metallic Midnite Blue), etc are being finalised at the moment. Will need all the help I can from you guys.
Keep an eye on this thread......

Is it impossible to procure a complete floorboard (given that you were able to procure the rubber parts). I guess no donor car can be found with one immaculate floor. However what I wonder is, cant we fabricate a single piece floorboard, rather than having welds (to be read as weakspots) in between.

Thanks guys,
No Mate its not impossible to procure a complete floor board but thsi was patched up becuse the original one was perfect except for these little corroded parts. Original metal panels of imposted cars are not available in India..at not in bombay especially of older cars. Secondly i dont think any donor car would have a floor pan intact. If it did it would rather be a restoration project than a donor car. The welds have to be incorporated to save as much as possible, the original good metal found on the car.
