Certainly not a 62. Maybe a late 60s, but i would guess early 70s more likely.

From where in Germany & US did you source the spares. Are they the genuine ones? How much is the import duty on it

seems to be a 68 onwards bug Mr.polly,notice the four lug rims and the rear air vents, more over the engine has a dog house oil cooler that mostly(not always) came with a 1600 engine

import duy is 34.3% on the landed cost(invoice cost +shipping).
genuine VW ones are only available from individual sellers on ebay,etc.
repros are available from CIP etc

Hello Everybody, I am a new member and a VW Enthusiast. I am [FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]literally short of words to express my appreciation for rescuing an apparently neglected beetle left to rot beyond salvage. Not only the poor old bug was rescued but, it also brought the VW community together; simply amazing. One more word "Subscribed"[/SIZE][/FONT]

Default My 1971 Super Beetle (1302) now Restored

Hello, Here are pictures of my Beetle after restoration. It still needs front, rear bumpers and front indicators that are not original in this picture and will be replaced soon.

Hi Pawan..Spotted this Beetle in Hyderabad at my Mechanic.He has completly done it and is up for grabs.It hails from Karnataka.
The engine is all done and its a LHD.What do you think?
