I should think the box should be the same, the Super Selects would have a shelf and cover on the box with the switches sticking out, as you can see.

Thanks for the clarification. And as usual most of the cars will not have the air box. Same with super select the cover will remain and be mistaken by many as air box.

AFAIK, the naturally forced Air intake assembly system from the grill and engine bay via the air box compartment/lid within the dash is the same on all Indian and Italian FIAT 1100's upto 1964. However the parcel tray was introduced on the Super Select models and onward.
And yes, that over the years the box is unknowingly dismantled or "can sill kiya" by someone who didn't believe in "OH REE G NAL E T".

Great restoration job done, this will inspire other fiat fans to maintane there fiat and premier padmini cars. Actually now a days so many people are scarping premier padmini in Kerala, this will help to stop that thing happening.

Well AFAIK the trims for elegent were in Steel only. the one on millicentos were aluminium though. And these trims can still be had along with the front piece as told to me by my Fiat 1100 Bangalore club members .
