Reference images should help anyone restoring a 54/57 dukkar. The headlight frames are almost always altered, this is what they should look like

Hey Karl,

Thanks for the pictures regarding the head light fenders. Wish I had these reference pictures when I was restoring my Millecento, my headlight correction job would have been lot easier.

Thanks anyway.

This Fiat Select is a regular spotting outside the Leopold Cafe at Colaba Causeway.

Now here is a strange case, supposedly a 1996 Fiat S1 for sale, everything adds up except the rear end, which seems to be grafted on from a 1100R

This FIAT was part of the FIAT 1100 Club Mysore launch Meet. Check out the link below.

Parsee owned, as is evident by the rear windscreen!

Karl, what do we know about her?

MTJ would be a Pune regn, circa 1973-74. MTJ 476 is a 1973 President lying abandoned, with original paint, et al. And MTJ 648 is by far the best President surviving. This one is now in Bombay though.

So many more Fiats left!

Here is a nice original 1963 Super Select in the same ownership from new that I saw after maybe 8 years last week. Still retains the original keys and jack. The ignition coil is still the black Marelli unit, and the brake fluid container retains the original FIAT embossing - a rare find for reference. I'm told the car has been in the same colour (though repainted) from new. Does anyone have an idea what the colour was called?

I spotted this car near my home today morning. By a curious turn of events, I discovered that the car belongs to my friend's colleague and thanks to my friend, I got a chance to snap a few pictures.

Ps- The owner adamantly maintains that he's in possession of an Elegant. Sigh!

The instrument cluster is interesting, to say the least!

And the rear windscreen. Too perpendicular, no?

The grill too looked like suspicious. I suspect it to be an after market job; at least the frame might be.

The other 2 are from Fiatworld facebook page and the image credit goes to the respective members. Both these fiat are well kept.

By the way the marron one is very very original and even retains the uphosltry, was for sale too. Don't know what happened now.
