-   -   A couple of Land Rovers!! (https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/post-war/41325-couple-land-rovers.html)

These two beauties were spotted last weekend. I think they belong to the same person. Have a look and enjoy. Can someone fill me in on the model specifications please.

What about the similar coloured MHP regd one thats parked near your house?

As per my knowledge these rovers are very common in North East India and some are also used as tourist vehicles. (The same was highlighted in Autocar India May 08 issue). Many details about these MPVs are given here : Land Rover - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Also the pics here seem to be of Land Rover Defender 110 whose details are here : Land Rover Defender - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aah!! Awesome Awesome vehicles both of them. Just love these old Land rovers. I especially like the one with the MTK registration. Feel like going on a jungle safari on one of those. Pure Bliss.

Careful cy, the Yeti must be lurking nearby......:Shockked:
He warned you guys to call a Landmaster Lando, Landy is for Landrover only! lol:

Anyways, lovely machines! I especially like the splitscreen. Is it a series 3?

Here is a similar and equally complete (just missing a couple of bits) late 70s example owned by carbug (who owns the '66 VW microbus.)
It was originally owned by the Forestry department, although thankfully used not too often!

Stan,

I've seen some more pics of the landy that belongs to carbug.

I admit its a great buy, and almost unused one.

Awsome Landy's that ive seen so far.

CARBUG, bring on some more pics man.

Amazing! Nice to see these old beauties in so much detail. It's not everyday we get to see these much.
Thanks for sharing it with us here.

Nope, no pics but Im positive it was MHP. Saw it twice a few weeks/months apart.

Fantastic machines! Their simplicity is endearing...takes one back to the good 'ol days.
