Frankly, JayD, I prefer the black.
This colour scheme, attractive as it may be, takes away some of the regality of the grand old lady!

That looks really nice. I just get this feeling the color will look much better in person than it looks like in the pics.

Have fun with the old lady!

That's a beautifully restored Landmaster. Just a few questions/observations:
- Your engine seems to be the OHV pushrod engine from the Amby. What happened to side-valve engine?
- Are the dashboard meters all operational? IIRC, they were Smiths meters.
- Do you still have the semaphores on the B-pillars operational? or have you blocked them off? Can't make out from the pics.
- Can we please have some pics of the interiors after the renovation?

SS, there are a few things that are very difficult to find on the Landmasters that remain:
the original side valves engine, the original steering wheel, the original electric fuel pump, the original headlights foot operated dipper switch!
The Smiths meters are usually there and working. The little clock in the speedo will usually not be working! The trip meter is also usually defunct for want of the correct cable.
The hand crank handle itself is a rarity! The hole for the handcrank handle (in the front bumper) will invariably have the cover and lid missing.
The semaphores are seldom original, if there at all. This particular one has them, IIRC, but the 'glass' for them is not the original kind.
But this one comes as close as you can get to the original thing! Huge effort by JayD and Co.!

@ anupmathur: . I have had the pleasure of having worked on LMs, and having originated from Kolkata, I am staunchly in love with them (and Ambys) still. Kolkata's Mullick Bazar auto-market used to have a really good collection of rare spare parts for the LM till a few years ago, and I think they still do. Perhaps some of our members from Kolkata can confirm this, and perhaps help out with their acqusition for others. After all, WB was, and still is, the land of the LM and Amby!

And once again, my congratulations to JayD & Co. for a great job done!

Aren't the semaphores very much there?? They look chrome-finished?
