Here We go..

The First Batch of Photoshop Chops.

Also, I want a two tone in this car to give it the Classic Period look. That is why i have done a white roof combo.

These are my TOP two options. I prefer the Blue though. GRANNY & GRANDPA DHABHAR JUST GAVE THEIR VOTE TO THE GREEN AND WHITE!!

Well two tones were not offered on Delights, so it really isnt classic period.

i vote for the green and white as well. a friend of mine had an 1100D in that shade.

that blue is a bit too bright. why not something in a more pastel shade, like the ones i posted in the other thread ?

Yes, yeh to sAru chE dikra!

I also liked the shade shown by adheesh. Coincidentally I was planning to paint one of my ex-delights ('65 model that I later sold) in that colour at a later stage.

I might also consider Gogi's "peshal" blue with creamish top and same colour superselect wheel rims without whitewall tyres and with original superselect wheelcaps or with black hub caps. The original black and white photograph of the 70s which the gentleman showed to me has the car in black colour with superselect wheel rims so superselect wheels must come back. I have procured a set of superselect wheel rims already. Dear Anjan - I don't like the chrome strips on the windshield rubbers so they will go. I will not put the monogram on the dicky as I don't like cluttering on the dicky. Only number plate and number plate lights will be there. Number plates 375 mm long / 85 mm wide / 3 mm thick are already made in powder coated aluminium sheets. I want to make the rear number plate also small like the front one to differentiate the look. Let's see.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar
Thanks Behram. Your eyes are much more attuned to Fiats as you have many of them and also live in the Fiat city (metro). We are sure that your car will look much more aesthetic at a later date. Do keep us posted on the MRF (not MRF tyres but the Fiat) restoration.

Another restoration project, best of luck!

You can check out my posts in the LHD thread for some of the photoshopping I'd done in two-tone colour.

Our Padmini had the same colour. You can check the only pic in my garage though it is not clear.

And in the early 90s when Mumbai was filled with a sea of white, black and blue Fiats, our car stood out. And the fact that it had (a working) air-conditioning system drew a lot of envy from neighbours. Ah, the good old days!

On a passing thought, I wonder if BLB 1144 will ever be restored. Cyrus should convince dad to make it a full-fledged track/drag replica car.

The cream color looks the best Cyrus. Request you to stay away from a two tone. Does not look good in the pics, IMO.

Hey I like the reddish color the best. Looks wild. Padmini is one vehicle with a gorgeous sound even without a FFE.

will be following this thread for my future projects!

I liked the red one (I hope you know the reason) but it should be more in dark shade.

Somehow, The more i look at the Cream Color, The more i love it. The Two Tone looks too wannabe Classic whereas the Cream looks Classic. Lets see how things go.

Rupesh, the car is definately not going to be Red and White.

Dear Behram sir, I personally think that nothing can match an immaculate ivory white coloured Fiat. We had bought one 22 years ago from the showroom and still have the same colour on. I hope you remember the car when we met for at Gogi's place during the July FCCCI rally.
Best regards!
