| BANNED | I agree with Arun and Karthik. On the rally day he wholeheartedly invited to sit in his car. He took us to his house and within short time he offered some Indian kurkure ("Chaklis"). When i was taking 2nd time , he told why don't we take full box for our FCB friends in rally and he distributed. I took one photo of his "Photo with Fiat" that is proudly hanging in his living room. And of course yes He is Feroz Khan of FCB. After seeing his fiat everyday morning he must be singing ..... "Kya khoob lagati ho!! Badi sunder dikhati ho!!!" p.s. = I have sent all his photos to his son's email id. Few of them posting here. Just say What a pose!!!!!!!!!! |

| Senior - BHPian | We gound a sun shade for Madan's car. Myself, Arun, Sujith and Karthik MB went to his house to give it to him. His car was recently polished and with a spell of rain, it was glittering. What a car! Leather seats are just awesome. He then forcefully took us and got us variety of chats nearby his house. That was dinner for us, so much he made us eat. We will get the sun shade painted coming weekend and install on his car. |

Thanks for the concern. Manish has answered your query. I am just waiting to get hold of the tail lamp before getting the car back into near original condition. Except for the monogram on the dashboard, for which also I got some ideas from the other Millicento at the meet. The tail-lamps were changed by some mechanic (who took the easiest way out when he could not get the lenses) when my father was too old to monitor the repair work in Coimbatore.

![]() Manish: Even I am waiting to know the reason you said "that the car is not clean" If you meant that the small ORIGINAL bits, if any are missing, it should be ok as the car performed just superb on the FCB lunch drive. Sujith1100 has a video of MEV zipping and overtaking all cars on the highway. Kudos to ARUN.V for maintaining the car in such a pristine condition. By clean I meant original and that was relative to some other car, In no way I meant to offend any one. And you said you have a 58 also, I would definitely love to see her to increase my database. Last edited by manishalive : 14th July 2010 at 12:10.

| Senior - BHPian | Myself and Arun spotted this starlined President at an alignment center. It is running on the original engine. Its a daily runner and is used a minimum 40kms EVERY day ever since 1973 |

This is a nice car for an interesting project - with a good tin guy / denter, and a lot of patience, one can make this look very close to the original Fiat 1100 D estate - complete with monograms and all - what say ?? A practical question for Gurus: In this car, the C pillar has been moved to the end, and in place of the original C pillar, there's a very very thin pillar. Does this compromise on rigidity ?? | Senior - BHPian | ^^ Yes I agree. I spoke to the driver the other day. He said the owner is very passionate about the car and a restoration is around the corner. He is not just finding the time as of now. By the way, this is a P. President for sure, even the number says the same thing. However, making it a Fiat 1100 D estate would be too good. |
