| Ok so you meant the manifold and exhaust pipe. I know about the 4X2 setup of S1. Actually i paid 200 for the manifold and he's asking for 250 for the exhaust pipe. I was wondering whether the said pipe can be fabricated/replicated. If yes what would be the cost pattern. Just curious to know about the fabrication cost as a used one is available in scrapyard. |

| What you said is 100% correct. The parts when required are scarce and hard to find and when they are in plenty there is no demand. Will be purchasing the same, hopefully tomorrow. thanks a lot for the help. Will definitely update you on this. |

| Senior - BHPian | I spotted a pristine gray Padmini today near Ulsoor road. It looks exactly like Arun1100's Delighted Padmini 331. It had a sun shade too. Engine sounded so damn smooth and was cruising nicely in 3rd and 4th gears in not so much traffic. The driver did not look like a owner to me. May be a reseller looking to sell it off. I was on my 2 wheeler today and couldnt manage to click the pics. It was a Ka 03 registration |

| Senior - BHPian | Pavan: I always have heard and know (atleast my 3 yr experience) that NE parts have always been expensive. Wasnt the car itself a bit expensive in those days? This was supposed to be a pretty luxury car those days and I see the pricing perfectly alrright. Howver, paying such a price for a spurious/duplicate/repro cannot be justified. Still in my opinion, as long as we get the part (original or duplicate) we should be happy. As compared to the 1100's, NE's are far more lesser. I am still baffled (happy but) that so many parts are still readily available . There would be a day soon where we might repent that some time back we atleast used to get the parts, now we hardly find.IMO, your Beetle parts could be atleast double expensive. Good thing is you get most of it as original . |
