Why anyone would do that is anyone's guess. Maybe the person felt that quarter-glasses provided better ventilation/looks?

Or, worst case, I suspect the front doors were from a Super-select (as are most of the fittings) and fitted onto this car as replacements. Even you had fitted doors from a scrapped select to your s.select, albeit a contrary process.

Thanks Arun for posting Mr. Kedarnath's 1993 Padmini pics, this car is SUPER COOL...I am planning to have my car done in this fashion, are these 13" rims/discs from Premier 118 NE, If so do we need to carryout any modifications to adapt them to the padmini, would there be any difference in the drive. please suggest.

Default TRANSPORTER's Pictures

This car is a 1978 model recently restored and modified a bit.
No modifications mechanically ! Mainly intention was to retain original Padmini looks, aim was to make it look like a LATEST EDITION PADMINI.

Please comment on my work,
Total cost: Rs 70,000/-
Time : 3 months

Well it has its charm, have you made any modifications to the engine, to turn it into a racing Fiat? why not put in a twin webber carb and a Aluminum manifold? Then you will get performance to match the looks. But its great to see all enthusiasts with all aspirations classic and Racy to be so infatuated by "The Fiat" You should contact fellow BhPian Mr Beheram Dhabhar, He is a master of maximizing the performance for these cars.

no modifications to the engine, i wanted my car to be legal on road, so that there won't be any trouble when renewing the Registration Certificate. Plus this work was made by my dad so i had to maintain some limits.

How about removing the maruti bumper & trying to place the halogens besides the number plate (or try the style of Dhabarji's red fiat) the rear number plate arrangement on the boot is eye catching. Why don't you try a smaller steering wheel, goes well with your scheme of things. Cheers mate !!
