Speechless! And all this achieved without a paint booth. Great effort sir and as you said will look even better after the detailing work is completed. Surely will be a show stopper.

Thank you Riju.

While Riju gets ready with his camera, i am putting all my effort in completing the car.

1) New wiring and Electricals -- 90%
2) Fittings -- 50%
3) Engine -- 0%

48 hours is what i have on hand to complete the car, the workshop atmosphere is somewhat like Chip Foose's garage

The reason for the countdown is simple.

This car needs to be present the coming Thursday at Chennai

Shocked.....? Yes true, the car needs to be driven down to chennai for Fitness test. As per the car owner, he also needs to transfer insurance NCB's . A tough task, i am really not aware of this urgency.

Experts opinion needed about the NCB's

Some updates as on Today.

Ah good to see the car being completed. BTW will it be possible to do the detailing work in the engine bay within the 48 hr deadline? Hope you complete it and as you said the deadline surely must have made the atmosphere of garage somewhat like Chip Foose's garage with you playing the role of the master himself (or master in command Matt Foose).

true.
8 months for such extensive restoration is almost impossible, but sometimes you need to work your .... off.

Tomorrow we are starting the engine block painting, and by afternoon we plan to start the car.

Brakes are still a BIG issue.

Though it will be one Nostalgic drive, Just wondering weather this 1955 beauty will make the 700 km round trip in such scorching Hot Chennai weather.

Moderators: This is a MG Wolsley as per the RC not a Magnette

Pavan showed me this car yesterday. The paint job is awesome. The dual tone combination is too sweet. I agree, the garage was like Chip Foose's. If I remember correctly, atleast 5-6 men were working on it simultaneously on various tasks.

Good luck for your timely completion!

I think the grille monogram lights up. It used to light up in later models like the 'Ten'. In fact, Wollys were very often ideal chase vehicles for the Police, and the lit emblem used to "strike terror in the hearts of getaway criminals" according to a British motoring journal..
After all these months i still remembered what you had told, and the front monogram on the grill finally lights up.

Electricals == 99.99% Done
Fittings == 99% Done
Tyres == Appolo acclerare 175/60/R15 purchased, will be fitted tomorrow.
Mechanicals == Brakes to be tested tomorrow once the wheels are fitted
Engine == Will be cranked and run tomorrow.

Some pics taken from my mobile phone. Excuse me for bad pics.
