Dear Samsag12 - the indicator that you have circled in your post no 106 above is for the handbrake on warning / FLWI (fluid level warning indicator), the fluid being brake fluid. This became compulsary for meeting the 1996 norms. I released these drawings just before I left PAL. Dear Kavesh - PAL never fitted whatever was available. The cars were made as per the engineering documents released by R&D. You should come and work in the R&D department of a large automobile company to understand what we through every single day. Just kidding. .Best regards, Behram Dhabhar

Very nice of you sir to clear our doubts. BTW did PP S1 originally came with this type of meter or not. Many are pointing that its not OE fitment. Is it so. Although it came with that meter when we bought the car in 95.

| BANNED | Samsag: Karthik and me recently spotted a very original green S1 near my house. It had the same specifications as your car. Like Same meter, Bench seats etc. So yours is ORIGINAL.. Don't worry. |

My apologizes for not seeing the picture closely. Yes its the meter i was talking about. Just need some clarity on this. Have seen both 95 and 96 models with the speedometer+clock. It also has a handbrake indicator. Also was the steering (samsags car) factory fitted, because post 94 models had a two spoke steering. @behram- Thats what I am trying to, with all my might and luck. ![]()

Today visited the scrapyard early in morning and found many fiats waiting to be chopped. Took some pics just for the fiatians. I witnessed one breakdown but time didn't permitted to watch more. I didn't picked up a single part today as all the cars were of the guy not known to me. But i flicked some parts. ![]() There was an old model fiat standing there which, as told to me, is up for sale but at a horrendous price of 50k. Its light green car standing behind the padmini in the first pic. So enjoy the pics and comments are most welcome especially from Arun bhai as long time back he asked what is the situation of scrapyard in Lucknow. So let the pictures do the talking.

Arun bhai i clicked the photos secretly as the guy there was very possessive and he didn't liked my clicking. So only one photo but i plan to go there tomorrow and will definitely click some more of exterior and interior, including engine bay et all. Do you require any specific part photo ? Its having the old meter intact with toggle switches and is standing there for about a month.(remember the choosy chachaa i mentioned sometime back) It is his car. Regarding flicking i picked some parts which fitted in my pocket and the bike bag. The items include door handle surround, door sill guard, one headlight ring, some rubber cushions(used behind door handles and locks)

clicking by phone doesn't attracts their attention as i put a hand over the phone and take pic with the centre button. This way they think that i am searching for a contact and cutting the glare on screen with my hand. If you click with a digicam then they get annoyed. But i will click some pics of select with the permission from the owner saying that my uncle needs to buy this model and told to click some pics for reference. ![]() ![]() Sorry i thought that you are talking about clicking rather than flicking Last edited by samsag12 : 18th March 2010 at 15:31.
