Karlosdeville: Since you have many Fiats, what are the mechanical parts you have stocked up for future?

President(Rony): I read that you have stocked up a decent amount of Fiat parts for future. We youngsters expect Fiatians like you to help us too in stocking parts for our Fiats. Hoping to hear some suggestions from you soon.

To be very honest, I really haven't stocked anything mechanically, besides a waterpump and carb, since for the most part my cars are mechanically ok, and I use them sparingly. Other consumables should be available for a long time or refurbishable. Suspension parts is something I need but haven't found. Shortage of space is a major concern in my house, and I cannot keep dumping more 'kachra' all over the place

Hi Arun,

In order to service, maintain, repair and preserve our FIATS in collection, we have got to stock up certain parts in spare for each FIAT model that we own. Therefore, we should try to stock up mainly wear and tear parts, be it, mechanical or trim and keep up to it. Basically, we need to have one full set of trim parts, like show pattis, wheel caps, lenses for lights, door hood movable parts, monograms and so on, etc other than some mechanical parts.
Just having the cars and no spares does not make sense, as they are no longer easily available of the shelf.
Being an enthusiast, you should definately start stocking up for the future, yourself, if you have plans to keep your beauties preserved for a lifetime.
All the very BESHT!!!

A year ago the cost of Kpacco fuel pump was 430Rs. Got the original Ucal one replaced as there was no other alternative.
For how much did you got the water pump?. BTW its good to see the date of packing on the carton which, it seems a year old. Hope we get parts off the shelf for a couple of years more.

Autolec water pump mrp is 531rs but they sell it for 500rs.

Tie rod ends pack was manufactured in 2007! Costs 350rs.

Default A little ray of hope?

Possibly some good news only for Fiat 1100 SELECT owners- those hard-to-find "fish" shaped side-indicator assemblies on the select could be improvised on by adapting those from the Nano, which have the same shape more or less:

Have anybody experimented with the Nano indicators yet? If it works, its an excellent workaround, especially since the originals are very rare to find.

Does anyone have a spare set of Gold Seal side beadings? I desperately need a set.

Are you not getting it new in market. Do we need to stock them also. BTW you are referring to the side pattis na.

Yes the side pattis used in PP. Currently very bad quality ones are available. Is it available in LKO?
