A Nice thread and happy to see Priya getting a mention here.

I own that scoot, belongs to my dad, and what a fine 3 geared wonder.

Its been restored to stock 6 years ago, and a great runner.

While i am looking for few things to complete it.

1) White wall inserts
2) Rubber strips below the Foot mat
3) Original tail lens

Congrates Ramgaru,
Really a fantastic find. As a user Bajaj Cub (derivative of basic vespa150=>Bajaj 150=> Priya=> Chetak=> Super=> cub (100cc) ) for more than 20 years, I could understand the proud of owning original Vespa 150. But plz stick to original Vespa150 colors of those times(like white n blue dual tone shade of lambretta, red n cream dual tone of your FIAT). Plz search some old photos /pamphlets and then zero down the best original shade you most liked.

Narendra..Two-tone colours in Vespa were more popular during 60s.Towards 70s they resorted to single colour.
Lets see how my Vespa comes out in Flaming Orange colour.

@Hillram sir,

Flaming orange color sounds good.
I wanted to paint my scoot in orange single color, but later decided to go for double color.

I am sure your Vespa will be an head turner with Flaming Orange.
All the best.

Thanks Girish.Indeed Flaming orange will be a head turner.I had few questions:
- Does white or black rubber beading look good on orange shade?
- were rear view mirrors part of the fitment for Vespa? How can i fit these?

Hey hillram,
I'm aware of two kinds of strips, one with aluminium channels and endcaps which fits with two screws, and another type which was only rubber/PVC/Plastic strips (not sure) with little nodules underneath, to fill the little holes in the chassis. So which one are you able to get cheaply? The noduled one (buttonwala) is difficult to get here, but was original on most Indian made vespas, I believe. In fact, I have even seen such substitutes on API lambrettas.

Please shed some light!

Don't forget to put a nice mudflap behind the front mudguard! Chrome horn would also look great, in Delhi I bought a well made one from Kohli Auto for 150 rupees. Original flower/shell style.

Good luck (as if you already aren't lucky enough :-D)!

Thanks friend.
As i posted before, there is complete set of rubber beadings, floor channels(rubber made),Foot pedal and Kickstart rubber covers,Tail light rubber pad and grip covers in white colour available for a whopping price of Rs.2500.
I picked up a black coloured beading and floor channels for a very low price of Rs.100
Buttonwala channels are very difficult to get here too.
Im looking for a steel horncast.

Flaming orange would be a fantastic idea, I've seen one in rallies and again at ramkote with then popular spares shop (Universal) and again I guess that is still with some petrol pump owner somewhere as told by my friend.

How about a Long seat on to it that will make it a Vespa complete however I guess your model has not sported on on them however it good to have.

The floor beading you all are talking about are the later ones (I assume the Priya times not sure though) with rubber fitments which fits into the floor board when pulled from other side however they dont look neat as the rubber tends to bend here and there if the holes are not parellel, apart from this you need to drill I guess around 20 odd holes and again which might make the floor board like a mesh so my advice is for Aluminium beading which if not found off shelt you can try with some denters as they should have.
