Thanks Shyml.

What an awesome collection - it is also interesting that most of the more significant cars are still around!

There was also at least one Loyd-Carden tracked vehicle, ca 1932

BWP-341 I believe is a Lincoln Cosmopolitan.
Correct, its a Cosmopolitan.
I did not include the Croyden as it was not from the Motor khana nij rather in the Bahawalpur army. The Nawab sahib, though he was the one shopping around for everything would, once the goods were received in the state mark these out in different categories. The stuff, whether it was land, cars, or curios etc. would reportedly be marked by him as
a: "Bakaar Sirkar" meaning state use and ownership.
b: " Huzoor Purnoor" meaning in the private ownership of the Nawab of Bahawalpur. These would pass on to the next Nawab.
c: usually not marked but paid from his own private funds and his private use e.g clothes, and remain in possession of the immediate family.

The listed cars were his private property as well as huzoor purnoor variety as listed. Used exclusively by him or a few dedicated for the use of his family and the zinana.
There were other innumerable cars and vehicles in the Bakaar Sirkar category, e.g subject Croyden, paid from the state exchequer. The Hurricane fighter for RAF, the tiger cubs for London zoo, the ambulances for London come in that category.

Since he was very fond of mechanical things, he would choose and select cars and vehicles himself and was a stickler for proper maintenance and protocol, himself poring over the details. (His train sets in Sadiq Garh Palace and another one in London estate were superb, as was his stamp collection, collection of Gandhara artifacts and most of all rare Islamic manuscripts and weapons).
Alas only the cars and empty palaces remained. Hopefully these will be preserved for posterity by Pakistani enthusiasts as a memory of this legendary man. He is fast being forgotten by a numerical generation and that is why I took it upon myself to record whatever is available in a book.

Your nr.26 is not a MK VI but a S1, it was registered BWP 733.
Impressive list!

1. 1920 Silver Ghost Barker 86CW with Nawab of Bahawalpur aged 17. The first of the many. This car was ultimately taken to Saudi Arabia in 1935 as part of the entourage with Crossley Wagon and a fleet of trucks etc, when the Nawab went for the Haj to Makkah. This car was presented to the King of Saudi Arabia after the Haj. Current whereabouts unknown. Possibly under the sand.

This is a commendable undertaking that I hope that I can help with along with other enthusiasts from the Team BHP community.

There are a few additions and changes in the lists that I would like to suggest. There were a pair of pardah 1937 Chevrolets, BWP 207 and BWP 208 (GM838701 and TR2686574) in the Motor Khana.

The two Chryslers were numbered consecutively as BWP 263 and BWP 264.

There were two Humber Pullman Limousines, that arrived a year apart. After Nawab Sahib passed away BWP 374 was taken by one of the heirs while the other Humber, BWP 386, which had a slightly different configuration of lights, if I remember correctly, is now registered as BR 4147 .

No. 29. is listed as a Jaguar Mk 10, is in fact a 1969 Jaguar 420 that belonged to my father and is now with my elder brother, and no. 60. in Shuja's list, a 1968 Triumph GT6, was my owned by me.

More recent pictures of the two Humber Pullman Limousines. The first is still with the family, originally BWP 374 now wears the BWP 425 plate. The second one, BR 4147 is in Lahore and restored rather nicely. The front light arrangement can be noted as Sahibzada F Abbasi pointed out.
