After Peshawar is Waziristan, home to the proud waziri pathans. Must have seen action during the military operations by the British Indian Army in Waziristan circa. 1932/3 or so.

There is another Ghost armoured carrier in the Bahawalpur Garages, could have been auctioned off recently.

I assume this is it? I do hope it is restored to armoured spec and not rebodied in civilian style.

The sdv is a Hooper, chassis #GXB51.
The muti-coloured car is heavily modified and difficult to id. However, I think it is SG #133EM, with Hooper lim from Phantom I #27EH.
The boat tail replica tourer is a Phantom I, chassis #46OR.

This is SG chassis #41LK with armoured body by Barker. It is in the Abbasi collection. It was auctioned on 09 May 2004.

Thank you Park Ward. We've opened a special new thread called Unidentified vintage and classic cars in India just for you Please do have a look. I messed up on the tri colour SG but I think the Hooper 2 seater is 85K6.

around 2 years back i had the opportunity to see Vijay Mallyas car collection. His cars, mostly vintage were neaty tucked in a garage in his bungalow in Alibaug.

My point is that there was a beautiful Rolls standing there, absolutely well maintained and in working condition. When i checked with the caretaker he told me that it belonged to the Prince of Wales. Dont have the pic though. Wasnt allowed to use my camera.

LK 41 would be 1923 a year later than the first 20HP's, so are the horizontal slats inspired by the 20HP model? When did horizontal slats appear on 20HP's? since the first year?

The Twenties had a horizontal grille from the very start. Even the experimental chassis had it.

Some, maybe all the experimental 20hps had shutters, first cars had black enamelled shutters then from 1923 Sept nickelled brass. Vertical shutters were fitted from 1928 and a 1 1/2 inch higher radiator from 1929.
(The shutters on the 20hp I restored were missing and I remember having to cut down longer ones and their frame, can't remember which model they were from but they were same pattern)

Henk, the Tirwa car is correctly identified, it is on T-BHP: Chassis 179GY Sedanca deVille by Freestone & Webb (per park-ward: Cars in AutoExpo 2008 Thread, Post #19)

The Green+White+Polished Aluminum tourer has been "identified" on the web as "Maharani of Baroda" and appeared at the 2006 BCCM Meet at St. Moritz. The rear licence plate is "PANNA-7". It may have gone form Baroda to Panna. Do not have a Chassis #.

Do not believe the black car (Gurney-Nutting) is an India car.
