B&T can be done with EQ only na ... whats the point of having a separate B&T toggle switch?

Exactly. Thanks aZa. Bass and Treble (or Bass,Mid and Treble as can be found on some HUs) should be enough.

I think Pioneer etc though the user will use the EQ for one time system setup, ie. for correction. Like its meant for. And then use the bass and treble for adjusting according to the music.

But little do they know our janta will use EQ, and Bass & Treble, and BBE and Loudness and every other acronym thats in the unit.

buddy u are right i have 8650 and i am very happy with it but my friend finds it cumbersome to adjust eq while driving everytime u change the cd. a seperate b&t control he wants so there is no need to mess with 3-4 frequencies of eq .does the p80rs has b&t apart from 16band eq does anybody has this hu.

the 6850 has 7-eg and a bass control no treble is present..... plus why need separate bass and treble when u can tune the sound with preset eq already given in the HU with u plan to have to do with B&T (bass&trouble).............

Finally, someone who likes B&T! But I don't like the part about you wanting to have B&T. That's scary.

Buy any of the Pioneer head units with EQ-EX (or something like that) They have adjustable frequency (2 frequencies, 1 for bass, other for treble) graphic equalizer, and a 3 band parametric equalizer where you can select the center frequency, Q factor and level of boost/ attenuation.

I think the Kenwood K-CD01 has the features you are looking for...

And Gunbir and JB rate this HU very high on the SQ too - in fact right under the HX-D2 ... look it up .. that thread is here somewhere...
