Car Visor that Doubles as TV Screen - Team-BHP

According to an IANS report, Chennai-based California Software Company (Calsoft) has tied-up with a Chinese company, U-Eyes Media Technology (Shenzhen), to develop a car window visor or sun shield that doubles as a small television screen.

The device incorporates a flash player, and the company claims the content can be changed in real time using the Internet supported by a data center.
Calsoft says this utility will enable people watch films or music videos or advertisements from within their cars or cabs.

Calsoft Managing Director and CEO, S Sam Santosh, said the new software will firmly place Calsoft on the software innovation map.

Meanwhile, CEO of Calsoft's partner, U-Eyes Media Technology (Shenzhen), Edmund Wu, said Calsoft was the obvious choice for their company's Smart Mobile TV.

For starters, cabs plying in China will be getting 'Smart Mobile TV' visors.

Calsoft, founded in 1992, has development centres at Chennai and Bangalore in India; Pleasanton in California; and Boston and Omaha in the US.

I think its going to be the same kind of visor screens which come with a reverse camera . but watching a movie on a screen located on a viser will be inconvenient.

Not to mention it would be a regular pain in the neck... Imagine looking upwards..its an unconfortable thing to do

Pricol has been marketing this under the XENOS name for quite a while now. Sizes upto 7" are available, so its not really small. Its not too bad on the neck either.

I am using it in my car.....but the fact is it is chinese....and skips a lot when a cd is a little dirty....

ya mine has a flash player, and it can play from usb also and I have two joysitck with it so that i can play games on it also.....there is a cd given along the player which has games in it like contra, mario , 1942......

but it does not have any internet connection of such till now....
