Hi, has anyone tried these 6x9 speakers? they claim 350W RMS and 2000W peak...lots of testimonials which say it is far better than infinity, etc..

The company is called The Loudest UK? lol. Interesting name.
At 40 quid, they're not expensive and don't look expensive either.

While I cannot pass judgement on the quality of sound, as I have not heard them, I don't think these speakers will be on my shopping list.

And if someone can make a true rms 350W 6X9 and sell it for 39.99 pounds sterling, I'll eat my underwear.

the price of 350W speakers is 69.99 the one on eBay was 150W

But look at the marketing they are doing! People will blindly buy them! BHPians are fortunate we have Sam with us

I was wrong in case of Fusion because picture was not clear (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/sound-off-show-off/25704-ice-most-unexpected-vehicles.html) (ICE in the Most unexpected Vehicles), here I can bet that it is not cas-aluminum basket as mentioned in the "specs", it is stamped and that too with a thin gauge.

They have vented out all their innovation in mimicking a typical hifi audio website and marketing/trade shows to target unsuspecting people. What a funny list of "trademarks" and their icons (authentic ones are not too far though!). Look at their dealers page, it seems they have not spared an inch on the earth without leaving their presence felt, except that there are no postal addresses! Tbhpians won't mind visiting their shows, as the winners not only get their products but also get to be stripped off and teased by those babes... just see the "bass tunnel"!

These links reminded me of a reading somewhere which says something like "don't buy anything from white vans". It was probably in US context and this white van apparently parked near famous malls sells very attractive looking and big sized speakers where most of the drivers seen from outside wouldn't even be connected internally! Vibe seems to have a truck instead!! Believe it or not, audio quality is a mysterious subject. There are so many audio-innocents out there who are just waiting to be fooled, and such companies thriving on them are a proof.

Basic hifi lesson unknown to most "hifi" salesmen...

Speakers do not have power (unless the are active speakers with a built-in amp). They have power-handling ability.

You need speakers your amp will not blow up, but 350W? Your amplifier can output 350W?

The sensitivity and efficiency of the speaker is what determines hwo much of the power gets converted into sound --- more sensitive speakers, being driven by the same equipment, will give you more volume.

Best thing I ever did in hifi (home, not car, never had any fancy car kit yet) --- replaced a moderately good "150W" amplifier with a very nice "50W" amp

But the salesmen, and even the advertising, will go on and on teling us that higher figures is better!

loudest.co.uk... yes, I can imagine the people who buy from a company like like that back in my home country: you can hear their cars from miles away.

4,000W, even 8,000W... in a car? I suppose you have to gradually upgrade to compensate for the resulting deafness if you're into that sort of kit!

looks to me like a "audiobahn" and "volfenhag (germany)" overrated crap. try audiobahn AS69Q; they claim to have the biggest magnets around in their 6X9s and most interestingly 200W RMS (per speaker) is mentioned in their enclosed pdt info sheet. so 200W X 2 = 400W RMS?? read their reviews @ some websites, some even say they feel terribly underpowered even with their RF 150W X 4 amplifier. and u know what, i actually bought them (pre TBHP) and later upgraded to Xplods.

to add, one friend bought volfenhag 12" subs X 2 and put in his car with alpine amp; i can assure you a local 700 rs wala subwoofer would sound better anyday!!
