I don't think that you can fetch a Pio 4950 at Rs.4000(atleast not in Cochin).

You may also try looking for boss, auzo, megaaudio, intex, dapic etc.. In the lineup of non standard range of brands.
Poi 2950 is available for 4200 Rs and Pio 4950 available for 4600 in mumbai !

Hi guys,

Looking for a replacement to the existing HU for my 8 yr old M-800. It seems Pio 2950/4950 should be ok, what are the additional components needed ? Pls advise.

Thanks

If you are looking for HU Replacement, than you just need a replacement HU, nothing else

PIONEER HU'S
Actually, if u need to add a subwoofer, then go for the 3950.

2950 -does not have subwoofer control.

3950-
Same as 2950, but has subwoofer control and some difference in the equalizer.Costs around 600-700 more than 2950. Also shows track name(dunno if 2950 has this)

4950- is a good option too since it has 3 preouts. Costs 4.6K here! (but honestly, i dont like the way it looks, has a very fake/JVC look to it!!)

5950 -is a pointless Head unit!! With no significant additional features to talk about.

6950-Excellent HU if u dont want USB. 6.5K.But u get direct i pod connectivity. And has the verrrry useful Folder/track listing option, and the bling displkay for a lil more than the 5950.

7950:-Excellent buy again. Good value for money, and has USB too. And a motorized faceplate! Around 9K.

Hope this helps!

I am looking at the same bunch of HUs, and I am thinking between the 3950 and 4950. But why do you say the 6950 has a "bling" display? It seems to be to be rather bad!

Where in Delhi/Noida can I get the Pio 2950/3950 and how do I decide if they are not fakes, talked to a local accessory shop owner near my place and this guy tells that without Bill, not even a single day warranty is given on the system. What will be differential if I get it with B&W ?

Thanks in advance
