Ah! Now it is discontinued. I've seen that it was the favorite VFM amplifier around here. LBM, hydra, many times Navin and I recommended that amplifier to people. I remember once, everyone was recommending the 75.4 to a fellow who already had a 4-channel amplifier as a replacement. You came in and said "What is with you guys and 75.4? The 300.1 is much cheaper and drives the sub better" - or something like that. And everyone replied saying nothing could beat the 75.4, I remember especially LBM saying something like that in Hindi.

| and my mom get the BIG Brother version but that is OT as per Sam's request. See all you transistor guys, you have to bid farewell someday becuase transistors are so passe. They still make 6550 tubes. From the frist time I heard the 6500 in my Marshall in the late 70s I was in love. As usual I have taken is OT, so please lets stay on the topic.

| BHPian | Now, I'm seriously thinking of picking this up (since there are a few pieces left in stock) instead of the 301.1!!! 75.4: 284 watts RMS x 2 channel at 4 ohms, 14.4V supply and ≤1% THD + N 301.1: 204 watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms and ≤ 1% THD + N this amp will go down the history books as a legend!!

| Hi Sam, I picked up a GTO75.4 finally after going through the forum from M.A. Car Studio at Oshiwara. I am absolutely in love with the Amp but have a few Q's. After installation, the gains were set so high that there was a continuous hiss from the speakers akin to that coming from the High Tension power cables by various utilities. While routing the RCA cables, one of the connector pin cover (the gold plated thingy), came loose with the RCA pin. Is there something wrong with the Amp or is it normal for the connector cover to come loose. I haven't really had the time to get back to M.A. Car Studio as i am busy till Friday with Exams. What do i do ?

The gold cap does come off if the RCAs are set too tight. I've seen it happen before. if it fits back in and sounds fine, it's ok.

| I have taken over the tuning of the amp to enjoyable standards and currently it's a work in progress. Will require the help of the resident guru's fine tuning it though. I fixed the amp RCA cover and it seems to be working fine. So far so good, hoping for the best. I just love the amp, I'm bloody dam glad that i chose this amp over others. Oh and one more thing, how do i register my amp in order to avail of warranty benefits ? Awaiting your inputs, till then, sing - a- long Sam.
