URGENT HELP:-6inch V/s 6*9inch in Swift (2way or 3 way)

Hi! I would like to thank the forum for valuable suggestions. Brother got the following from Singapore:-

HU Pioneer 5050
Component Infiniti 6020 CS
Co Axials JBL GTO 937

He couldn't get Amplifier & we decided to get it here in Delhi only. I would like the forum to suggest to recommend a suitable Amp which would go with the above combination. Any suggestion on Blanupunkt GTA 475 GTA 1350???

Also, your advice would be required on the installation. I will sincerely appreciate the pointwise reply to the following:-

1. The required components. (RCA Cable, Fuse Box, Power cable???)
2. Are there any specific brands available for these items?
3. How much cable would be required for a decent installation? Since I don’t have any knowledge on these stuffs, I don't want the dealer making a fool out of me
4. Where to get the system Installed from? Can some one suggest a reputed dealer in Delhi. Read about DRIVEN in Mayapuri. Should I get it done from an authorised Maruti Dealer??
5. How much will the whole installation process cost??

You will need 2 pair RCA cables. Big 3 power cables and 1 fuse box.

cable requirements depnds on teh way teh installer routes the cables. Ensure that the RCA cables and Power cables do not run parallel to each other. Good cables (installed well) should not have a problem but why take chnaces.

Driven would be better than the Maruti dealer. Gunbir is often found at Driven.

THe amp in question was the GTA 475 that you selected.
For power cables you can get any good ISI brand cable (Finolex etc..) for fuses box there are many brands available at your installer (availability varies across the country so I cant tell what your installer carries).
Why not ask Driven for a quote. I have never been to Delhi so dont know.

Hi! Can someone suggest few good car accesories shop in North Delhi. Went to check DRIVEN in Mayapuri but the shop has been shut down.

I am getting Balupunkt Amp GTA4 @Rs. 5714 with papers.

As for the installation the break up is :-
MDF Plank - Rs. 450
Sansui Black Diamond Installation Kit - Rs. 2200. Alternatively, he suggested to get his customised (Open)set installed @Rs. 2500. Dunno if I should get Sansui or JBL installation kit or go ahead with his designed kit @2500.

Another Dealer suggested BOSS brand which on the face of it looked cheap @Rs, 700 but not sure of the quality. Please Suggest

Tarunl : Dont go for BOSS wire at all. They are cheap but the quality is a complete rip-off. You get better wires for 2000

I thought so. It was not even ISI stamped. When I asked for ISI certification he started giving crap that BOSS is an imported brand and all that.
Please suggest some good brands with cost.

I've got no idea but Monster cables seems to be recommended by most guys here, though it may be expensive. Scosche is also a good brand.

Hi. Do not even bother with BOSS, Sansui or JBL. These 3 are either bad quality or fakes, including JBL (JBL wire kit has officially been discontinued a couple of years back). Beware, the same guy can also show you fake Monster kits.
Please look around at other shops as well . Also look at Scosche which is quite VFM.

Yea! You were of such a help. System is rocking. I met Gunbir as well & I was scolded for not installing a sub and opting for 6*9 instead.

Some of the songs are not playing good. Guess, could be coz of the generation loss (dunno what quality songs are available over net)

Taruni you can get Finolex wire or if that is too difficult Ground Zero and Audison both make wire sets for the car.

where exactly is driven - it was mentioned somewhere that the place in mayapuri(?) had shut shop.... since all you guys are still meeting up at driven, "i'm making an assumption here" but i guess it still exists somewhere!!

and how much would it cost to have a basic ICE set up done here
i.e.

pio 5050
jbl cs series 4 ch amp(?)
jbl gto 607c comp for front
gztw 12" mk2 in encl / jbl bass tube
jbl gt5 for rear doors
gz/audison cabling


as opposed to an installer outside of places like driven etc.

car being delivered tomorrow @4 pm - need to have ICE set up by 8.30 - 9 pm latest - travelling AGAIN from the 15th march...

p.s i'm on a really tight budget (on time as well as the paper variety)
