My point is - you bought from the grey market, you got what you wanted at a good price. Now don't expect the sun, moon and stars in service.

It happens sometimes that an official product is resold through the grey channel. No need to be so surprised. Sometimes the dealer selling it is not authorized to offer a warranty, sometimes he isn't even authorized to offer a bill (as he has no purchase bill) and sometimes he is not authorized to collect and pay VAT and sometimes he just doesn't want to pay tax.

The sale is less stressful, less is expected of him and best of all, the customer cannot sue him for anything as there is no proof of purchase.

Many Indian customer don't give a rat's derriere for service or buying experience, choosing to save as much short-sighted money as they can - which is why the grey market flourishes in India.
Not because grey dealers sell, but because we BUY.
