There are however, fake JBL kits, made in india lol.
I hope you don't buy it because the quality is crap.
Got the point Sam. Thanx for clearing my doubts

There are many ways to distinguish. Mostly, look for poor finish. This is where most fakes fail (In order to keep the cost low)
I find that dealers willing to give a bill are less likely to cheat you, as you have purchase proof on paper.

And lastly like the old man always says, buy from one dealer and keep a good asexual relationship with him.

The finish of fakes is improving though so insist on a Bill and make sure the dealer has stamped and dated your warranty card and post it yourself (unless you have a relationship with a delaer like I got then I just trust him/her to do this).

Yes, in Mumbai, Navin has maintained a strong relationship with one dealer only. As in marriage, so in audio.
Only the dealer relationship is platonic. The other one is not, he has offspring.

dunno if this query is suited for this thread. but when i got my install done they used some Visonik cables. how do i go about checking if they are any good. the sound is ok but I have some uber low budget speakers as well and it could be that cables wont affect sound on those. but would just like to check also.

price was very cheap 1200 but i got it from radio warehouse which seems to be quite well known in chennai and everything had b and w

Visonik is a good brand, if you manage originals at all.

Default orginal????

Hey guys saw a JBL wiring kit today.. It cost about 3400/-
THe dealer told me its genuine JBL kit , got from Sahil international.
He even told me to put it on teambhp and ask sam about it..
it looked pretty original to me and the dealer was very confident about it.
It had some 4 different cables.. speaker cable, rca cable, power cable, woofer cable..
what do u guys think?

Speed_Devil, looks okay to me, genuine stuff. Go for it, a good VFM solution IMO.

It looks original to me. I'm amazed as to how someone still has stock. It could be got for 3000/- but he probably knows it isn't available anywhere.

Go for it.
