just remember to power a sub and 4 speakers you need 5 channels of power. of course you can use teh HU's amp but i would not use that except to power rear speakers. ofcourse you can use a tri-way crossover but many amps over heat and/or do not perform to the bet of their ability under that sort of stress.

Firefox has been by browser for the last one year.

jkdas 38: I have been driving for the last two months. We may hire driver early next year. Till then music and myself inside my Baleno.

Any recommendations on the list of must have music CDs and best place to buy?

well sk, the thing is we recommend compos or other speakers to be powered by amp at the front if you drive. and if u get driven around ( chauffeured), then its the other way; amp powered rears. but in the second case, you should be having teh compos at the back.
( did i confuse you? if so i am doing fine ).

and mate whats taht 38 doing with my name?

When chauffered I prefer to listen to music via headphones. There are some nice headphones out there. I use Senheisser 580 or 600 but intend to get those clarion or alpine in car headphones (forget model numbers but i think the clarion are WD 200 and the Alpine are 252 or something like that). they run for about $150 a set (2 heaphones and dual input a tranmistter).

Economical alternates are the Senheisser 555 and AKG 26P. for the TV the RS140 is a nice pair.

If you have the budget the AKG1000 is a beautiful pair as is just about anything from Stax.

oh btw how does one connect headphones to the car stereo? Check out headroom.com I'm guessing they have a solution. They are headphone specialists. alternately you can derive a headphone outlet from the speaker out of the amplifier.

jkdas 42#:
I didn't think of this much. I guess I will go with compos in the front and pay less for my driver :-). I plan on power all 4 speakers + 2 subs using amp.

38 is your real age pal, now it is 42 :-). Just kidding...I am referring to your post #.

I am hoping my Baleno to be transformed into a music house by end of today.
