Exclamation Alert : NH24 is closed (as of Aug 19th) on Muradabad-Rampur stretch!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to alert everyone that NH24 is currently closed (as of Aug 19th) on the Muradabad-Rampur stretch due to River Kosi being flooded due to heavy rains in the past few days. If you are planning a holiday to Corbett/ Nainital / Almora from Delhi, you will not be able to take this stretch and will have to take a detour via Chandausi, which is around 60 Km longer than the normal route. Also, expect traffic to be very heavy on this stretch, as the road is not very wide is also in bad condition on many stretches.
The main highway is not expected to be opened at least for 7-10 days.

Please plan accordingly and if possible, avoid going towards these destinations. Heavy rains in most parts of UP and Uttaranchal in past 7-8 days have lead to heavy waterlogging - there is water as high as 4ft in some areas.

Drive safe!
