Hi Friends,

Planning a vacation at afriends place in Daman for 2 to 3 days during christmas. Tried train bookings but they are waiting even 2 months before departure then suddenly thought that can't we drive down to Daman??

Google maps show a distance of approximately 1300 kms from where i live in Delhi.

Is the distance doable in 1 day... need to be there on 24 th and will start back on 26th night or 27th eary morning.

Please advise.

Though doable, I would advice against it. Assuming you average 80kmph, you still would require a good 16 odd hours of driving.

A safe distance to travel on our highway would be 700-800 kms a day.

16 hrs of driving is too long for one day. It is not safe. Split it over 2 days or if absolutely necessary, have a second person drive along with you

It is a very long drive, will take you - with an early morning start, non-stop and no breaks - 20 hours.
