Does anyone know which platform you can catch a Thane-Ghatkopar train from in the night after getting down from the InterCity?

Also, in the Mumbai-Pune train itself, you don't have to carry a ticket copy - the SMS & ID card is enough. What about in the Thane Ghatkopar part of the journey in a local train - is the SMS still enough?

Same platform that you get down on Thane will get you fast trains to Ghatkopar.

SMS & ID is enough for local train as well. If you have AC ticket, then you can travel first class. But your ticket needs to be Pune-Dadar or Dadar-Pune, so that Ghatkopar-Thane travel is covered in the cost.

Is it wise to travel Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai on Thursday? I am asking because the rains. How likely is travel likely to be normal?

Looks like Today morning's Indrayini & Intercity to Pune were both cancelled. Is there a way to know if it will be running tomorrow or not?

This gets more worse with every passing month. Last week, the intercity was more than an hour late reaching Thane. The Lonavala to Thane leg of the journey has become a nightmare most of the time with the train practically moving at a snail's pace.
