Default Suggest a destination close to Delhi for Weekend Trip

Guys, a few friends & me are planning a weekend getaway on the 11-13th May weekend. Could you people suggest a nice destination apart from the usual Nainital/Mussoorie/Jim Corbett.

Also we would prefer a hill station considering the state of the weather in Delhi these days. A few pointers:

1. Should be easily accessibly by saloons, no off roading please.
2. Should be within driving distance of Delhi, max. commute time 10 hours i.e. within 500kms.
3. Pleasant weather
4. Not too crowded

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

DO some research on Mukteswar in Uttaranchal ( near Nainital ). Serene hill station with some low key adventure sports like rappling, rock climbing and trekking.

PM me if interested and I can give you the contact number of the place where we stayed and the guy wil arrange all the activities for u too.

Lancedown would certainly be on my list - scenic, cool & quite off the tourist circuit. I believe only about 270km from Delhi

Try some thing like this:

Day1: Delhi - Shimla - Narkanda - Luhri - Ani - Khanag

Day2: Khanag - Jalori - Shoja/Aut (you can trek down to Sirolsar Lake)

Day3: Shoja/Aut - Mandi - Kiratpur - Ropar - Chandigarh - Delhi

I'd say Kasauli! My ex and I used to do the Delhi-Kasauli trip at least once in 2 weekends (on an average). Grand weather most of the time. A stopover at the dhabas and this place along the way called Oasis, is a must. We used to spend one night at our cottage in Kasauli and drive up to Shimla to stay the next night at her place there, and drive back to Delhi on Sunday. Great fun it was.

Ramghar is nice too, especially the hotel at the top of the hill... i don't quite remember its name. Really good food.

And as someone suggested Dharamshala; the bob marley cafe there being my fav attraction.

Kausani & Binsar are two good options, far from maddening crowd and yet close enough to drive comfortably!

Come on, its not that far. Plus on the second day there is plenty of time to chill out, trek etc.
