Default One day Jaipur trip from Gurgaon

Hi Team,

I am planning a one day trip to Jaipur from Delhi. I will start at 6:00Am in the morning and return back at 12:00 in the night.

It will be me, my wife, my 4 month old daughter, friend, his wife, and his brother, in my 88K Driven Indica.

Places I am aware of are, Amer Fort, Jal Mahal, Chokhi Dhani etc...

Is there anything else we can do or go, I know there are always some places not well known but much better than known...

Last time (1.5 yrs back) I took 3.5 hrs to reach jaipur from gurgaon, with one halt. It took us 1.5 hrs to search Chokhi Dhani. We visited Jal Mahal, could not go inside amer fort because of time.

I hope roads must be in good condition....

Ok... here is the changed plan....everybody think 1 day is to tight so I made it 2 days :

Now I plan to drive to jaipur on Saturday morning... and come back Sunday night....

For the day wise plan.....

Saturday:

Start from Delhi @ 7:30 AM and reach Jaipur @ 11:30 AM.
Visit Amer Palace, Jal Mahal, Nahargarh Palace during day.
Dinner @ Chokhi Dhani (not stay)
Night Stay @ some hotel (Please suggest)

Sunday:
Checkout from Hotel @ 9:00 AM...
Visit, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal... Markets(You know, we have ladies with us :-) )
Some other places (Please suggest)
Start from Jaipur @ 6:00 PM and reach delhi @ 11:00PM (with lunch halt)

Please help me adjusting the places to visit during 2 days. Also suggest some economical but decent place for night stay... Something where I can have boiled milk for my baby

You can visit the museum at the City palace and hawa mahal, but you already have lots on your hand to visit and it will be quite hectic.

Not Natraj, check out pearl palace. Kickassssss. Maybe not as good view as the kinds you'd get in jodhpur but per se, very naish place, and very good rooms. We got a family size AC room for 800. the hotel right opposite it is stinky and not so good.

Hotel Pearl Palace - Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Besides the rooftop restaurant is worth a visit too. Their 55 bucks thali was very very good, flexible and fresh tasty food

Hi phamilyman,

do you have any contact number for pearl palace. You are the third person suggested me the same. I must check it out. Link given by you does not have any numbers. Just a registration form.

Do they have rooms on ground floors?

Dont worry RK; help is here:

HOTEL NATRAJ

Dont go in for online reservation, rather give a call, check availability and then negotiate. Carry your business card, it'll settle for 1200 + tax.

Hey man, this info on lodging is a gold mine. I once stayed at LMB but somehow didn't like it. Though the food in the restaurant down is good - specially the Rajasthani Thali & the Daal Bhati with Choorma.

After that I've stayed only at the Jaypee or the Raambagh, but bloody expensive. Will try these options next time.
