Karwar coast getaway

We want to get away from Goa for the Diwali weekend, with wife and 3 kids 7 to 15. I was thinking of a beach place along Karwar coast, should be less crowded and cheaper than some of the Goan rip-off hotels. Any ideas on places and hotels?

Check out Karwar resort. It'll be well within 120 km from Goa. I'll send you the contact address during the day as I don't have it now. You need to cross that Karwar bridge and take a boat to go there. There are cottages and a beach for you. It's a nice spot for a few days. Sunset is essentially nice there.





Diwali weekend is always a bad time to get rooms but check it out anyway.

I have seen Devabag Beach Resort many times in Karwar. the place and view is very nice. Not much accomodation is available so make sure you call them and take confirmed booking.

while coming from goa before Kali river bridge need to take left turn (which is belgaum road) then within 300mtrs take right turn then within 500 mtrs. you can find narrow right turn and then go right in "y" junction, which goes to small hill you can find resort at the top of the hill. if you get confused with route ask locals. Kannada/Konkani/Marati/English/Hindi useful language that area.

Rudra - You mentioned Karwar Resort and then gave the contact for Devbagh. I am a bit confused. Are there more than one island resorts in Karwar?

yogesa - You seem to be from Karwar. Can you give me more information about the different island resorts in Karwar. Would a 2 days, 1 night trip be good enough. Or you recommend more time to spend there?
