Required : Hotel Info in Vellor and Mahabalipuram

Hi Guys,

We are palnning to visit Vellor and Mahaballipuram on Thursday and friday. We are unable to plan because we are starting on thursday noon from Bangalore.

Appreciate inputs on places to Stay in Vellor and Mahaballipuram.

If you go via Kanchi, Hotel JayaBala / Hotel Tamilnadu (TTDC) are good choices to stay

For stay at vellore, you can try Darling Residency - Hotel Darling Residency, Vellore.

there are coulpe of new hotels at Sathuvachari, Vellore, i just forgot the name, something like 'krishna', these hotels are situated along the chennai route, so travelling also would be more comfortable. If you have time, you can also visit the rs 300 cr temple, 'malaikoti narayani amman'

There are number of good resorts/resorts in mahabs , so getting an accomodation won't be a problem.

The Intention of staying at Vellore was to see the Golden Temple.
When we visted last weekend, there was so much rush, myself and my mother didn;t get a chance to see the temple peacefully.On Thursday, it was for better, and almost with zero waiting time we are able to have dharshan and Archana too.

On hotel none of the so called start hotels in vellore had rooms availble. We had no choice but to stay in lodge by name Veena opposite to CMC. At Rs.700/- plus tax, it had a decent AC room. What I liked most was the clean, crisp bed spreads and extermly clean bathroom and toilet.

However, on friday on the way to Mahabalipuram, got some SoS from office so rushed back to Bangalore.
