Weekend Destination For College Group from Mumbai

Dear All,

My MBA college group is planning a weekend overnight picnic. budget per head is 1000/1500. Can anyone suggest some nice weekend destination away from mumbai? We plan to go saturday night and come back on sunday night.

Any pointers would be helpful

Daman is a good place,the drive will take you about 3.5hrs -4hrs,you can go to the beach or sip beer's in the beach shacks/hotels made there,rest you can have a spin in daman its cool place,hotels are not expensive Rs.500- 700 a room for 2-4persons but do an enquiry as they are always full on weekend's. cheers

On a budget, Manori Bell is a pretty good weekend destination. You won't spend too much time travelling either.
