Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary: Driving direction from Hyderabad and Road Condition - Team-BHP

Folks:
Does anyone know the driving direction to "Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary" from Hyderabad city? I have heard that it is 50 km away from Warangal town. Any pointer or help will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have traveled there in the recent past, any info on road condition would be very helpful too.

Route from Warangal is Warangal - Narsampet - Khanapur - Pakhal Lake. The place will be towards right side of NH 202. Road condition is good till Narsampet from there single road. Be aware that there will be no facilities available at the Place for stay. You can spend 2 to 3 hours at the Pakhal Lake & Forest. There used to be a Forest department guest house beside the lake but was blown out by Naxals 5 years ago.

Famous Ramappa temple and lake at Palampet is around 40 Kms from here (on the other side of NH 202), you can plan to club together these 2 places in a single day. During early December we had done Kaleswaram, Ramappa, Pakhal & Bhadrachalam in a single day. Route we had taken is

Hyderabad - Warangal - Parakala - Bhoopalapalle - Mahadevpur - Kaleswaram - Mahadevpur - Bhoopalapalle - Palampet - Mulugu - Narsampet - Khanapur - Pakhal Lake - Illendu - Paloncha - Bhadrachalam.

Total distance travelled was ~600 Kms, we started in Hyderabad at 5 AM and reached Bhadrachalam by 10 PM. From Pakhal lake to Illendu road goes through dense forest for about 50 Kms and it seems Naxal presence is there now also.

I would like to travel to Pakhal, Etunagaram etc - surrounding Wrangal, AP - and surrounding areas by road.

Has anyone done this area recently. How safe are the roads?
