No doc, that's not all. More, much more can be suggested.
You haven't really indicated what exactly you are looking for. That ALWAYS is a must before sensible/relevant recommendations can be made.
Who knows, you might just love to park yourselves at Harsil for a few days!

Harsil is a heavenly place :-) Icing on cake is if you get booking at GMVN Tourist bungalow/hotel there.

i am looking for a heavenly place to go to in august fo 4-5 days.place to be around Uttarpradesh or delhi(delhi itself is around 450 ks from kanpur).not too cold-around 25 C will do.the place should be scenic calm and without the hustle bustle of tourist places.hotel or resort should be first class.

In Kumaon you can try Kausani or Mukteshwar. Ranikhet is also good but is much more touristy now than it used to be.

Mukteshwar seems to be the best bet. I presume its near Nepal border, and pretty scenic too

Just 52 kms from Nainital!

Shilon Resort, near Shimla is also an excellently located place, sitting right on a spur of jutting land!

Oh, my mistake, I meant to say Munsiyari. since he is from Kanpur, thats a better place, much more scenic and much less crowded

Tanveer, have you done Munsiyari? Would love to see the pics, on some other thread!
Last century, I had been to Pithoragarh in my all-Kumaon darshan and had not even heard of Munsiyari, so did not go! Those were the days before we had God Google to guide us in our endeavours!

Naah, I never did that side of uttaranchal. I have just seen pictures of Panchuli peaks and its seemed to be a nice place

ladakh it would be.

Shoja/Chitkul/Kaza/Ladakh/Munsyari Mukteshwar etyadi would help you do your 3000km just fine

At 8500 ft above MSL, in a valley which is essentially leeward I think, the temps will be quite different in Aug and in Sept. That is almost change-of-season time.
You could expect it to be cold evenings and nights in Sept - one good sweater type cold.
In August, expect 25 to 28 celsius in sunshine and 16 to 20 after sundown.
Wouldn't it be best to ask the resort chaps these details? They should know!
