| Hi Everyone ,I am new here, And i am planning to go to Patna from Bangalore. Do we have any one here in portal form Madhya Pradesh/U.P I would like to know the road condition of NH2/30. I would be driving alone. It would be 4500 Km+[to/fro]. My tentative route plan BLR - Adilabad > 862KMs- NH7 - 1st Night Stay. Adilabad - nagpur(196Km-NH7) > Jabalpur [268Km - NH7] > rewa [228Km - NH7] 2nd night stay = 692 KMs Rewa - Patna 475Km @ NH7/NH2 Via [Turn right on GT at bakiabad continue for 64Km] - NH30[Turn left on NH30 continue for 172KM at Saiyad raja] = 475KM I have GPS in my car. Could you please advice me for 1. Where can i stay at Adilabad? 2. What's the road condition B/w Nagpur to Jablpur [NH7] , Jabalpur to Rewa [NH-7] then Rewa to Patna via MughalSarai on NH30? 3. Any place to stay at Rewa. Thanks in advance |

| Just to explore. Did you consider GQ route? NH4, NH5, NH2 and then to Patna? Extra distance might be less, and you get better roads, better mileage, better places to stay. NH7, you will go through major cities, Hyderabad and Nagpur, which will kill your time. Check Bang-Chittor-Tirupati(By-pass)-Nellore-Follow GQ upto Kharagpur, Join Kol-Delhi GQ section before Kolkata I never drove on sections beyond AP, so no clue though... | Senior - BHPian | Ahhh, one of mine dream trip too. Most probably I will do next year. I have to go to Patna and some other small cities of Bihar and Jharkhand. I have also started planning for that. In my view if you go through Tirupati - Vizag - Bhubneshwar - Patne route then most of the stretches should be fine. Beyong Jabalpur as always roads are not in good condition. I have done that route few times when I was in Nagpur. Also I can suggest one good alternative Bangalore - Nagpur - Bhandara - Raipur - Sambalpur - Rourkela - Simdega - Gumla - Ranchi - Patna But after Rourkela you have to travel in daylight till Ranchi as those areas are highly naxal infested. I do Nagpur -> Jabalpur trip regularly, fly to Nagpur and drive down to Jabalpur. Not much to worry about on this route. Jabalpur -> Satna/Rewa -> allahabad route has fairly bad patches and can be unsafe in vicinity of MU/UP border in night. But have not traveled there myself and is based on what I hear from others in Jabalpur. | |

But the catch is you might need pay toll ![]() I never drove on this section of GQ, but you will pass through some bigger towns, and food and stay will not be a problem. Our gurus might add more light though... Last edited by sriturl : 23rd September 2008 at 19:04. Reason: spelling

I usually start early from Nagpur and make a stop at Rourkela, so I can start by 6 AM from there and reach Ranchi by noon, take lunch in rachi and reach Nawada by 4PM, if you do same you will reach Patna by 6-7PM, distance from Nawada to Patna is somewhere 120KMS. -Pramod
