Options for breakfast for you will be...
1. Prepare & carry breakfast from home; its economical, hygenic & saves lot of time in travel
2. Buy breakfast at Ghar Dhaba (A2B) Krishnagiri & carry it along; this also will save you some time.
3. Reach Kanchipuram & dine in there. You may most likely reach Kanchipuram by 08:00 AM & you can probably have the breakfast even after first darshan.

Lunch no doubt at Kanchipuram. Dinner, you can probably plan at A2B at Thoppur or again opt to carry dinner from Saravana Bhavan Kanchipuram or another option is to reach Saravana Bhavan at Vellore. This is not too far away from the highway when you go towards Bangalore. May be you need to drive about 1 to 1.5 Kms from highway.

Try to visit the Ekambaranathar temple in addition, that has 3000 years old (now only the roots can be seen) mango tree.

Consider one week off
Thanks aargee. We will have breakfast at Saravana Bhavan, Kancheepuram and probably even the lunch there.

A2B Thoppur is not located between Bangalore and Kanchipuram. Perhaps, you meant BP Ghar Dhaba A2B at Chinnar, near Krishnagiri toll plaza.

Well guys, I had a wonderful trip. Road is excellent all the way upto Kancheepuram. Had Breakfast at Arya's in Vellore. This restaurant is ok. Had lunch at Saravana Bhavan in Kancheepuram. Had dinner at Kamat Bugle rock, Bull temple road. This was mainly possible due to Fantastic roads. Thanks for everyone for the valuable suggestions.

Any recommendations for a family non-veg restaurant between Hosur and Chennai which is open till, say, 1AM and serves south Indian food? I am ok with a non-air conditioned place as long as it is clean and safe.

OT.Have the road conditions between Chennasamudram to Kanchipuram improved? The stretch from Chennasamudram till Sriperumbudur used to be horrible.

Yup. I was there yesterday and indeed noticed that the road after the INR 45.00 toll near Vellore (where it becomes a 4 laner from the 6 laner) is indeed bad with a lot of pockmarks and potholes coupled with heavy traffic.
